Can anyone tell me why the words to this song seem relatively unchanged, but The Cossacks Song (1937) are very different from other versions? The 1937 version of The Cossacks Song is extremely communistic, where as this one isn't so. This version of this song includes a verse about Belarus that I have never heard before. But it is mostly the same as all the other versions I have heard. I know the dissolution of the USSR has changed certain songs, but most songs I have heard predate that. Thanks, comrades! Long live Russia!
