Soyeon is definitely amazing but it makes sense that she can sing the song she wrote because she records the melody herself (even if she wrote it for another member too). I’m very impressed she can do this version (mostly) live though which is muchhhh different than working in the studio!

@@megami.x of course, i kever doubted she could sing it, I heard part of the demo she made, but as you said, it's so much better live, with her stage presence, charisma and everything !

It's what makes her a musician, an artist who makes art with music. Her members voices are all colors that she uses to create the painting that is the song.

"Best female rapper" is subjective, she's definitely the best female rapper in 4th gen but not all of k-pop.

@@DCInSomnia In my opinion, the best female k-pop rapper so far has to be LE from EXID. She used to be an underground rapper, she taught Hyuna how to rap and she's been writing and composing songs ever since she debuted with EXID, which was at the very end of 2nd gen k-pop (even before that, I believe she used to write songs for other artists). Other than LE, I would say Moonbyul is an equally matched rapper, being the second most credited female idol in writing lyrics (the first being LE) and like Soyeon, being able to sing and dance pretty well too. There are other rappers who are also close to being the best like Yeeun, Yuki, Dami, etc but I think these two are currently the best of the best, along with Soyeon.

@@skyhideaway i hear of LE but im sadly not really familiar with EXID. Maybe u can recommend me some songs :). About Moonbyul, she is one of my favourite Rapper aswell alongside Soyeon, Dami and Yezi. But I think this comes down to personal Taste and Soyeon suits my music taste more than Moonbyul. Also Fun Fact: i just discovered a thai female Rapper called Milli (because she featured Changbin of Stray Kids in her latest song). Its my first Thai Song ever and i really enjoyed her. Her Music style definitely closer to Soyeon than to Moonbyul. She is also pretty young (only 19 i believe). If you haven't already, you should check her out, even if its a bit weird hearing the Thai Language for the first time in music, because im so used to Korean music xD

@@DCInSomnia I'd recommend you to listen to their song L.I.E, I think LE showcases one of her best raps in it. Some other songs where she has a lot of versatile raps are Night Rather Than Day, Hot Pink, Lady, Me and You. Their debut song Whoz That Girl also has a really good rap segment by her. There are a lot of bsides as well but I'm more familiar with the title tracks. If I'm not wrong, LE was the one who introduced the nasally voiced rapping into k-pop. And yes, I can totally understand that because much as Moonbyul is my favourite k-rapper, you can't deny that Soyeon is a monster rookie who's rising up fast with her talents in rapping and lyricism amongst others. I've never heard of Milli but I'll definitely check it out! I'm always excited to discover new artists, especially rappers, and there are a lot of amazing ones in the industry recently! Thanks for recommending her to me. :>
