Back in August of 2019 I attended the garden railroad convention in Portland, OR. During that visit I had the opportunity to take a cab ride on the 4449 with my friend Jerry. We made two roundtrips to the Oak Park amusement park and on the return segment of the first trip we took the cab ride. You'll see photos and videos from all parts of the trips. It was a great experience I've waited a long time to do. Happy 80th birthday to the greatest locomotive in the world, 4449!
