This is a brilliant suggestion to use the Faderfox in this way to make live switching fast and painless! I really need to pick up a Faderfox since I have tons of gear hooked up in one small room and switching settings with a dozen synths would be 100x easier!
Thank you friend! The Faderfox (specifically the EC4) has become a SUPER valuable piece of kit in my possession, I've used it used for Ableton workflows, with my Elektron gear, also Traktor and Denon Prime DJ softwares.. Its super versatile
Bit obsessed so I always appreciate seeing new workflow ideas for the SP404, thanks man. I'm currently using it in tandem with my SX and its a fun work flow!
Hell yeah! Thank you for tuning in!! One of these days when I put together a lil extra funds, re-copping the SX to run in tandem with the MK2 is a goal of mine! I really do feel like the effects on the SX sound better than the MK2, maybe its the old chipset or just my nostalgia kicking in, but still! SX + MK2 combo is HEAVY!!
Hey! Thank you friend! I appreciate you tuning in! That Faderfox EC4 really does fill out the MK2 as far as accessibility and getting around menu diving, which, if you were using the 404MK2 as a centerpiece, really helps with the whole workflow, Im curious to see if Roland opens up more cc mappable parameters in future update! My wishlist would be cc mappable volume per pad *fingers crossed
i hate the production market today. it does not matter which manufacturer it is you always have to buy more stuff to use the other stuff properly. no one is capable of it to make a proper instrument, with enough buttons, faders and knobs, a good big touchdisplay USB-C, DIN Midi and 6,3mm connectors and so on... 😞
The fact that there are 2 types of TRS midi is f'd but The needed real estate for 5 pin din is unreasonable when it comes to making compact midi devices, I feel that the Conductive labs pretty much eliminates the need to buy more adapters though after you buy that
@@TheChameleon2008 If that's what it was wouldn't every synth manufacturer that used TRS midi make and sell their own converter boxes and push them pretty hard as an add on for their products that use TRS midi?
