People underestimate Shulk due to both placement in the tier list and no major player playing him. However, those same people don’t know what each art does nor do they know any advanced tech that is specific to Shulk.
What I dislike about Bayo is not her combo game or Witch Time... it's Bats Within. That last game should've ended much sooner but the bats saved Bayo from something no other character could slip through without punishment.
ItsASquid I agree, I honestly think it's really stupid that she can do that with any dodges. I mean her witch time gets pretty predictable after a while and her combos are escapable with good DI but Bats within? She literally gets rewarded for barely timing a dodge. I feel like that was so unnecessary too to give her that ability to keep her true to her iteration in the game.
ItsASquid As a bayo main i notice a lot of people don't see the flaws in bat within. Bayo doesnt receive knockback but she gets the hitstun. Because of this she gets frame trapped and if she is off stage and airdodges too early she can die because it sends you too low. It is really good, but it is only a 1 more frame advantage on say M2, whos airdodge is better in every other way.
At this point, Leo is good with every sword character, so he probably has Roy and Ike as well, and Lucina is basically the same as Marth so yeah. Possibly even a Link and Tink as well as a Pit and D. Pit. Hell, maybe even a Mii Swordfighter for shits and giggles.
something I love of Mk leo is his improving a character to the limit, a lot of people said in the past marth was boring or he wasn't a viable character, but Leo changes the point of view of many people, I hope he could use shulk as secondary, I love the hype of watch different characters in grand finals, not only top tiers
Can someone explain to me what happened at 9:43 when he gets the dthrow? It looked like he was about to usmash, but then the art activation kicks in and cancels the animation. Is that correct or is something else going on? EDIT: Okay, so I think he just canceled the the art activation stance with a dash and got the grab. Looked super tricky, what a nice play.
Leo used Shulk in tournament... Wonder what would happen if he took the time to learn the character beyond the basics of his 50-50 and general flow. Also curious as to how the Shulk - Bayonetta matchup goes. Heard at some point that Shulk wins solidly, but it seems now that Shulk loses the matchup, based on what I've heard.
Shulk is one of the few characters who can outrange Bayo but Shulk has terrible options when it comes to escaping combos since he has no get off me options.
I'm glad they took the time at 3:30 and on to just admire their game faces. Leo looks like he's focused on the match like he's removing Bayo from the game haha.. I wish >.>
therealsamtheman This is super late but I am pretty sure it is just normal Sm4sh. A good Shulk like Leo just makes Sm4sh look faster than it usually is.
ノックスパー look at every other move he has and frame 18 doesn’t seem as bad. Shulk has bad frames in general, but back air is a pretty good move for him because of kill power and range.
