silver... i've always had black laptops/phones. i'm now bored of it. that's why im also probably getting the blue 15 plus. it's not the prettiest blue, but at least it's not black
@@TheRealAfroRick I thought the same, but silver is too bright, it gives too much glare, my eyes getting tired very quickly. When I look at the screen of space black, muscles in my eyes relax instantly. But I agree that silver is the nicest color, macbook looks best when it is silver
I was gonna get Space Black for my 14", but my girlfriend insisted that Silver was the way to go since it will always be the signature Macbook color and will never go out of fashion. She was 1000% right.
The silver color of the MacBook was great, but it was... Now, the black color looks much better, because who would want to keep buying MacBooks in the same color over the years?
I agree. I picked up Silver this year for that reason. It's classic. Maybe will get another one next year but let's see. I've got that light-pink last year and it was okay but I want m3 now so I ordered silver today. I will start testing it tomorrow 😄
The Silver is more glamorous looking....but I'm from Hollywood, CA and I tend to search for glamor in my tech products and everything else. The Space Black looks good at first glance but then starts to look too generic.
I bought the Space Black. but I'm going to change to Sliver. I just think the scratches around the ports will be visible similar to the Midnight colour.
I think the silver looks beautiful with this model tbh. Love the contrast of the black Apple logo and black keyboard. I’m kinda bored of the space grey look tbh, but if this was actually a black colour i would’ve been more interested. If MacBook Pros were released in iMac colours then that’d make things more interesting
Wow... you had fingerprints on it from the moment you took it out of the box... hate that they didn't just give me Space Gray as that works for me on the M1.
Silver is better choice especially when it wears, the Space Black will show silver undertones when it scratches + the Silver looks classic and will age better with nice contrast with the black logo.
Silver is the natural color of the aluminium and i think it is the safest option, scratches will be less of a paint in a future and the contrast with the black keyboard is great, i picked the M3 pro Silver for myself after thinking a lot about it,,, And black looks new now but Silver will never get old
The Macbook I'm replacing is 9 years old. I think the black coating may not go that distance and could look horrible after a few years. Thanks for helping me decide on the silver.
Space black looks good and is a new look. The wear that shows on the space grey is making me hesitate to buy the space black. The silver is boring but ages better.
Just went to the apple store to check out the space black 16 inch MacBook M3 max and the silver was right next to it. I must say I'm liking the silver. The space black ain't black and kinda looks cheap.
I would probably go with silver. I hate cleaning my laptop. I've seen many videos of the Space Black color and it looks like it does need cleaning often!
Bought my MacBoook Pro M3 today (Silver) and now I’m even more convinced that I did the right choice, silver is a classic and black is so argh new rich vibes
I bought the M3 Max in Space Black. Aesthetics weren't my main driver when choosing this but I am returning this MacBook for a silver version, and here is why - I had upgraded from a black Razer laptop and the colour felt familiar. My partners first comment was "I thought it was your Razer before I saw the Apple logo".... I then noticed a small scratch on the chassis, and I cannot UNSEE IT. Despite it being tiny, you can see the metal layer and I just know that I will pick up more of these as time goes by, which will age the MacBook even more. Having had the Razer laptop, I knew that dark models could show wear and tear a lot more than lighter laptops, but I had hoped that any marks/scratches would have the same colour base metal (making it less visible). Obviously this isn't the case. I will add that I care more about the internals, and realised I wanted a larger SSD (as MacBook SSD speeds are phenonomal compared to external SSDs) so I will be changing the spec and opting for Silver this time around.
@@mrdxfeliciano yeah the marks are just not worth it. It’s absolutely fine if marks don’t bother you, I really didn’t think I’d be that bothered but when it started showing more marks I knew id be safer with silver. It is a beautiful colour tho, if I got it again I’d get a skin for the outer chassis.
Thank you for the comment! Especially when you're spending that much on a laptop, the long term durability aesthetically is really important, so the space black sounds a bit too easily to be noticed if scratched
A MacBook has to be silver. At least for me. I dont care of any other Colors. My first Macbook was silver and my next Macbooks always gonna be SILVER 🤍
i just got the silver, space black looks cool in the start but for the longer run it starts looking very basic, but silver is the way to go, would have taken space grey but it is not available for m3 pro chip.
I'm so conflicted with myself. I always get silver and wanted to get black because it reminds me of those classic MacBooks + the silver is super bright when you're trying to use it outside... But as I'm typing this on my space black MacBook, I feel like it just looks too dark and not as classy? I literally don't know what to do now lol.
same thoughts here.. I'd like space black for a change since I've been using silver macbooks for 20 years.. then I think what if I get bored of the black, I'd be stuck with it for many coming years.. haha! silver still seems to be the more ever-lasting color
I bought the space black, but luckily i get an extended period to return it. Im returning mine for the silver. Space black is sleek! But i hate seeing little lint, dust or even little prints on it.
A laptop is to be used, not to look good. I seriously hate modern computer users. Function is all that should matter. It’s a damn computer, not a purse 🤦♂️
@@dooovde you can stick to your crusty laptop. Most of us likes our shit clean. And no one cares about what you hate bro. If a laptop looks like some bum used it for years its time to buy a new one. Also don't know anything about purses, but do tell lol
The Space Black looks even more beautiful once you get it home. It's kind of hard in the stores to decide because we are use to "silver." I was set on silver but now it looks dated and reminds me of being in an office.
Great video! Thanks. I appreciate that You have aligned side by side all colors that I truly like. Silver Macbook looks classic, therefore its keyboard contrast looks the best. I would pick Silver for sure :) less wear, less scratches, less finger-prints ...but with ultra modern looking black keyboard. Nice! :)
The silver has my ideal spec refurbished. 12/18 36gb and 1tb 14inch pro. But I want space black. Should I go space black and save $400 and get the 18gb ram?
The 14 inch Space Black. The manager at Best Buy last weekend gave me my 14 inch “M3 Pro 18GB of Ram/1TB in Space Black to me $2,167.19 out the door for my upcoming 30th Birthday. Coming from a 15 inch 4GB of Ram/512 Storage 2013 (Non Retina) MacBook Pro form when I was in college back in 2013. A bit to get use to with the eyes from 15 to 14, but that deal is amazing. The silver looks dope.
I think Apple has just nailed it with the space black color this time. It looks very premium and like a professional’s machine. It’s just the perfect tone of gray. It is like a very dark gray/gunmetal. Not too dark to be a cheap windows pc (still looks like a macbook pro), but at the same time not a too light shade of gray (like space gray) that it won’t look much different than a silver. I can’t imagine how good that space black looks when you use it in dark theme mode, with a dark wallpaper. Long story short, if you are just a huge fan of black, you will love the space black color.
Ima go silver when the M3 gets available., when the light hits the chassis its just pure class.., the darker the macbook gets the more gamer-boy laptop it becomes., but thats just me though..😊
Thanks so much. It’s such a big investment so this is much appreciated. I think I’m going with silver. Was really interested in the black, but silver is just so classic.
Did you choose silver? I’m worried about how it looks in the dark if there is a distracting glare. Are you able to immerse yourself without the silver taking away focus? My classmates with macs all have space grey and I was originally going with space grey too but when I saw theirs today, it looked so dull and fingerprint-ty.
@@kidalovelace I had the same worry when I bought my Silver M1 MacBook Pro in early 2022, and as I type this right now I'm laying in bed with the lights off and the only source of light is coming from my MacBook's screen. No glare whatsoever and definitely not distracting at all. It never has been over the past two years actually. People definitely lied and/or over exaggerated. Love the Silver color. It's classic.
I just can't decide. I really wanted space grey. I felt bored of silver and wasn't too into the black keyboard contrast but I do really like the silver lid with the black apple logo. I swear it's a different silver to my late 2008 macbook pro. However, I don't like the space black iphone. I don't really like matte black. Is this the same? I really like it when the light shines on it and it looks sort of metallic on the edges. Does silver look old fashioned? Does black look kind of cheap and flat? I dunno.
@@EMKWANREVIEWS I’ve tried that a few times too…didn’t help 😂 Strangely I we as easily able to decide I didn’t want the black titanium iPhone though and much preferred the ‘white’ and natural.
Imdidnt know that the silver in m chip pro macbook is kinda white, bcz i hv intel chip silver n was bored of it nt when i went to apple store tomdecide 16 vs 14 i saw silver n space black side by side n thn there was new question, which color bcz damn that silver looked stunning kinda white and the black already looking like a year old used laptop with fingerprints visible. Bt tht silver nt like 2018 model looked shining n nice contrast with apple logo n keypad
Scratches alone would keep me away from dark colors and stay with silver as long as they keep making silver. The metal under the coating, when scratched, is silver.
I think the Midnight MacBook Air looks better than the Space Black Pro. for MacBook Pro I prefer the Space Grey as a dark color. However, Silver is my favorite & it's the winner in my opinion.
Just FYY (totally friendly criticism) it can be super triggering for people suffering from OCD to hear it used as an adjective to describe being anal about scratches. OCD is a serious brain disorder that manifests as intrusive thoughts, and has a high su1c1de rate. Hope this is well received and I really appreciate this video!
What do you mean "space black certainly looks cooler"? It certainly is the other way round, space black looks like a boring windows notebook of which there are thousands. Silver is so much better.
Apple, fire your marketers! Because: SPACE BLACK should have been called GRAPHITE SILVER should have been called ALUMINIUM Oh, yes, i forgot, aluminium not perceived like a premium 🤡 As for me top color is SPACE GRAY (like on M1)
