I'm used to watch this an awesome anime as a kid on the TV iraq in mid 80s and still keep watching it again as an old man it's really unforgettable memories of my childhood
Loved this TV series as a kid. Thank you, Thundersub and Star Blazers, for being such awesome animes. And thank you Reiji Matsumoto, Yoshinobu Nishizaki and Hiroshi Miyagawa. I won't forget!
Fresh after concluding Space Battleship Yamato. some of Academy Pro crews who had been working with Leiji Matsumoto before had added his 'Leijimeters' into Blue Noah. regardless that Master Zero is not affilating with this project. Nishizaki and Matsumoto would join force one more time on a different TV Anime project.. Matterneck's Blue Bird.
Ironic seeing as the executive producer was none other than Yoshinobu Nishizaki, you know, the co-creator of Space Battleship Yamato, along with Leji Matsumoto..
This is Nishizaki's project. this time without Leiji Matsumoto's involvement at any point. Around the same time he had been working with Space Pirate Captain Harlock and Galaxy Express 999. Both of which became a bighit faster. though SBY would earn popularities in the reruns, This compelled Nishizaki to re-focus on SBY and did not continue Blue Noah. And since Blue Noah is Nishizaki's thinking without Matsumoto's involvement (beyond copied (and simplified) artsytles (which also used by Toei Doga crews in different animes like Danguard Ace, and even Galaxy Express 999 TV Anime (You'll see 'Derek Wildstar and Nova Forrester' riding the 999 at one point, with exact Star Blazers anime arts). it never joins Leijiverse at any point. nor any crossovers will include any vessels named Blue Noah. so don't expect Arcadia or Queen Emeraldas to confront any space warship named Blue Noah. the tern Noah however did saw reuse in Queen Millennia Manga as Terran evacuation ship to avoid 'Millennium Crisis'.
@@DiscothecaImperialis The was a ship called the Blue Noah in 'Space Battleship Yamato: Ressurection' from 2009, although I don't know how much, if any involvement Mtasumoto had with that one.
@@janerikedvartsenYamato Resurrection originally begun in late 80s and yes Matsumoto did involve on Charadesigns. but no more. What's released in 2009 is surely devoid of Leiji Matsumoto works. If Matsumoto won his court case against Nishizaki oncemore. YR would be accompanied by Arcadia instead :P (Arcadia of 23rd Century). and sure. Captain Harlock would shown up at some point. in his tenure. Yamato shows up in Galaxy Express 999 Eternity arc, Cosmowarrior Zero, and DNA Sights 999.99
