I have been mucking around with the Seismic Sensor mod myself, and one thing I noticed (that you didn't seem to in the video) is that the Scanner location updates as you fly around, so you don't need to keep landing to "update" the scanner results, this includes forward and back movement as well as turns. Love the series and looking forward to this coming out as a scenario!

Heh! Call your big exploratory ship "The Major Miner"! NOT necessarily because it ACTUALLY DRILLS... But, if you are using it as an intersystem base, it is a miner, kinda like the CEOs of a mining conglomerate [technically] qualifies as a miner, this base, where all the other mining systems are all created from, or launched off of, that makes it, at least to a degree, a 'major' part of the operation. While I do not know if you can add drills to it or not [not knowing your game/server rules], it would still serve as a great platform for transporting, exploring, and maybe even processing mineral resources to achieve the ultimate goal of the game scenario.

those large ore patches look like a job for the "Drill and Fill" mod!!

I like the idea of taking over the camp. That said, I also like it's esthetic so it would be nice if none of the trees were destroyed. Here would be an interesting idea for a base. Start by building a conveyor network from the forest floor to about 100m above the tree tops and place a solar array on top of that. The extra height will be so that you can place weapons and docking ports above the tree tops. Then surround that convener with armor. Light to begin with but eventually upgrade to heavy. From the bottom of the conveyor system, run the line from the forest floor all the way down to the water. Just above the water hollow out a cavern for all your batteries and industrial equipment. That way you could keep the camp looking mostly as is while still getting a full base built. Refurbish all the building in the camp and connect them with a network of subterranean conveyors, advanced rotors and hinges.

Hey Kanajashi. Love your videos. I was thinking of your idea to escape with atmos and ions. With the velocity mod, if you manage enough speed to escape most of the gravity, the ions should carry you the rest of the way. You could even build up speed by flying like the Endeavour Shuttle. Fly level with gravity, build up speed, and escape the gravity. I would love to see you do that. Cheers from Canada!!!

I think a great name for the landing ship would be the phantom then you have a little specter and a bigger phantom The names fit each other and they also kind of fit the spooky dark theme of this series so far

Been absolutely loving this tree planet. I cant wait to try and use it for myself as well, I get tired of the vanilla planets. I considered making a series on this game for my own channel but dont think it would fit very well, but im still excited to try some of these in my personal time.

The distribution of resources here feels a Lot more realistic than other planets in SE have seemed. Gg dev!

If you are going to get a bunch of wrecked bases and ships maybe a large atmo tug and grinder setup is warranted? Edit: You could even move that first location to the reclaimed camp, it has refineries. Just needs better wind towers.

Seeing this silver deposit, makes me wonder if the modder had at least a little bit of geology in their educational background.

I have a lot of iron on my land, and possibly a lot of silver [only, irl, there are no equivalent ore detectors to know if, or how much] since in my local vicinity, iron, zinc, lead, copper and silver are very rich.

Build a mountains base because it offers quick access to ores ,protection from enemy grids and space for underground facilities. edit: Steal the wreck base and install it on the Mouse camp.

Its a bit of a comedy, a bit of a romance, and a bit of a drama, and a WHOLE LOT of ACTION!!! SOME here would LOVE it! Is the planet with giant trees a mod or part of the plugin? I was hoping to use that planet in a pve world with my friends but I can't find it.

park up on that Iron Mountain and just dig a Well down to get water for H2. at least on a mountaintop, you'll have better visibility for a Solar Tower that can track

I would say, that if your resources come up good, more [and higher up] wind turbines would make a whole lot of sense.

Give yourself a challenge. build a base by removing the minimum # of trees that you can. use the trees for disguise!

I think the skybox or dark mod is making the colors look off and the video too dark. Inside the forests it looks like the middle of the night instead of just looking shaded. Probably makes for fun game play, but not as beneficial for watching vods.
