I don't even know where to begin. Actually wait yes I do. First I'd like to thank @ArtyTheSkunk for recording this showcase, but anyways that out of the way, I never thought I'd actually be here today. I remember imagining finishing this level and how good it would feel all the way back in February, and oh my god is it gratifying to have such a weight lifted off my shoulders now.
I have been working on this level for SIX AND A HALF MONTHS. I started this journey back on December 28th and it was just going to be another layout. While working on it I asked for some feedback, decided to have a UFO shoot at the player in the drop, and thought "screw it, I put enough effort into making 3 seconds of a layout look good, I might as well decorate it," and boy did I have NO clue what was in store for me. I have very little prior decorating experience, making this my first finished solo project of its kind, and I have never, NEVER done anything in Geometry Dash more difficult than building this level. My constant strive for perfection (coupled with crippling laziness that together formed a lethal duo) led to me pushing myself beyond anything I ever thought I could do, but at the cost of my sanity. I took a monthlong break through the entirety of June due to irl things and just enjoying myself in the game again, and once I came back to building this level I finished it within a week. And now with that, after over 100 hours in the editor, here we are.
I'd like to thank everyone at Team Prisma for the incredible feedback they gave me and their support. Without them to help me find my way through this, I would have given up a long time ago and this would just be another unfinished level, always sitting in the back of my mind. I'd also like to thank all of my friends, both online and irl who cheered me on and gave me the motivation to work on this when I could find none. Lastly, while I'm at I might as well thank my family for simply being awesome every step of the way (though they never actually knew about this project).
Just kidding I'm also thanking YOU for reading all of this if you bothered to, and even if not, for watching this video and maybe playing (play now play now I need that clout). I'll see you all when I start on my next project!
