Looks like my kind of build. I always loved being a melee build in a gun game (remnant 2, back 4 blood), something about going against the norm makes it more fun.
@@Lucid-Deeno, you can’t. When trying to parry out of cancelling an attack, it just blocks, and that’s with every class. It doesn’t parry if you attack and then cancel into parry.
@@Lucid-Dee I mean, it’s okay to be wrong. It definitely doesn’t work for you, you just don’t know the difference between seeing your character parry and block. Like, it’s literally the gameplay, every class is like this.
Played a lot of colossus when Anthem came out. Had an absolute stellar build that I could solo GM3 content, albeit a little slow. Nicknamed the build the Raid Boss because of how hard it was to die once you figured out how to put the entire kit together. Absolutely looking forward to Bulwark since I have had an unscratched itch for a few years playing that role.
This is the class im gonna main pve content. Always did like playing a tank and if you ever played a mmorpg and pair up with a good tank things are always easy. A good Bulwark can make a great team with any of the other classes.
Heres a tip you didnt know: Makes sure on cleave mode (sword glowing) and do sprint/roll attack then delay the next swing by 0.5s. Youll do a strong cleave followed by a jump downward thrust. It one shots in pvp
Seems like bulwark is a bit buggy. When a tyranid warrior does a blue attack even when timed block it still does damage to you and pushes you back. Once in a while it parries. Even just holding up your shield does not block warrior attacks 🤦♂️.
@@trifecta5927So I looked up on some forums and a lot of people are having this issue. One conclusion is that bulwark just can’t parry at all and just block. Which would make sense why parrying isn’t working. But the block isn’t good enough so they will need to rework that class or buff it.
@@For_the-Emperor it's weird though since I can easily parry the small ones. But the bigger ones somehow I can't parry them at all if I'm in blocking stance
@@For_the-Emperor oh btw I forgot to mention but I figured it out. It's because parry and block are the same button you can't 1 tap it to parry. You need to double tap (C as default) to parry. It works for me
Was having a huge issue with this and was confused as hell when farming substantial ops... so because its tied to the same button for the shield larger majoris/extremis parries need a double press is what you're saying ye?@@trifecta5927
I'm happy with the game as it looks and I get the illusions of thousand sons won't quite be the same as fighting the actual thousand sons mindless but I do miss the first game ...where going up against a chaos marine was more challenging ..closer to your level than most other enemies
I haven’t really noticed that the Intimidating Aura has a bug that causes it to disable gun strikes as a perfect parry. If this is indeed true then that means that us Bulwark mains have been loosing out on a good chunk of our DPS while rocking that perk.
When you have disruption field active (electric effect) that's for wide, AOE sweeps and knockdowns. When it is disabled, you are quicker, but more pinpoint and less effective against an AOE.
Dunno if it's a bug but Rejuvenating Effect (banner revives teammates) also grants full contested health on use to you and your allies in range of the banner.
@@LegacyGamingUS Legend, thank you. Do you think they would work well with the bulwark? Im thinking of vanguard as a second so wanna level up the same weapons
@Legacy Gaming question: How you plan to regen armour without "Armour Reinforcement" (+armour for execute)?? It seems top survival perk. Only "Flag ultimate"?? Thx for your work.
So ive been playing bulwark and i was hoping that invigorating icon just flat out healed everyone, the reason i was thinking this is that i do not have it yet when i pop the banner everyone within radius already gets max contested health is this a bug? Also bulwark is the only class that always full heals when interacting with a armory station
Yeah the parry doesn’t really work. Not even perfect parry I even use a chainsword with fencing that I use on my other classes as well and it doesn’t do anything. Won’t play the class until it works or it’s meant to be like that but that would mean I will never play it. I like using parries it’s just good to hold the big ones off. Without it I don’t see a point.
@@_FIow so upon further research the parry window is decreased by default with the bulwark. There’s a skill tree perk that increases it. So I’ll be using that one for sure
Does the shock damage increase affect our power sword too since it’s electric? Also if we want the perfect parry, shouldn’t we be using the fencing sword
Just pressing Parry a single time will perform a parry, it is just not as fast as some may think. To parry a Warrior - Normal attacks: You must press parry at the startup frames of the Warrior's attack. Which means literally as soon as the Warrior begins their attack, you press parry. This timing will match the swing of your blade to the Warrior's attack. If you are early, you get hit. If you are late, you will get a block instead. For Blue Parry window - delay your input slightly and again parry on the startup frames of the Warrior's ACTUAL attack, not the when you see blue, but when you see the warrior begin to lunge.
Can anyone give advice on the Power Sword? is the Powerd up mode for higher damage and better cleave? I just can't tell when I'm supposed to use either mode
When the Disruption Field is active, it has much better cleave. When it isn't active, you are more single target focused with better single target damage.
Controls are frustrating why isn't it possible to switch between melee and ranged weapons like they do in Darkise also they need to zoom further out with camera to get a better reactiontime from attacking enemies from behind. Controls feels like they've been purely made for consoles. Hate not being able to didixate left and right mouse for melee and block and the switch back to ranged having left and right dedicated for shooting and ADS.
Power sword has two stances swappable outside of combos. Focused (regular) and Wide (electrified). Combos are pretty basic, but if you pause after an attack you go into a hold position (sword turns bright blue) that you can then execute a whirlwind/ground AOE move regardless of stance you are in. Takes a while to get into the rhythm, but i enjoy the versatility. Hope this helps, good luck!
Use a Fencing weapon. In my personal opinion there is not reason to use Blocking or Balanced, simply because you do not Block with the weapon anyway, you block with your shield. Therefore, you should always increase your parry window opportunity by using a fencing weapon on Bulwark.
When attacking, pause after an input and you'll the marine make a very small shift. When they do that, attack again and you'll do the whirl followed by the slam.

Bro I think it's just skill issue but my parry werid does this werid animation thus parry an the timing cooked. It brings the shield up then parry I dunno
I thought so too at first, but it's actually a doddle to deal with. First and easiest option is run the one with the grapple hook then combo them or unload a few rounds into them. Second is to bait them into combat and drop a grenade at your feet. EVERYONE tried to do the light, light, hold combo and they get stuck in it. And grenades are so powerful. You can also run a sniper and just cloak before they see you, run around behind them and either shoot or combo them. Usually the panic is enough to stop them getting to grips with things. Plasma AoE around them, Assault drop on them, etc. etc. etc. There's a swathe of ways to deal with them. But (and I'm not saying you here) people think they're busted because you can't shoot them from the front if they have a shield up.
First Tactical and now Bulwark. Yes please. We need Sniper next and we have all the meta classes together. The other three should be on the back burner
Because they do reviews and such? They have more to do, more games to cover. They already have over 300 hours in the game, have already beaten everything the game has to offer. Why would they keep playing? I see a lot of stupid comments, but this is one of the stupidest. You've made the same comment multiple times. Go somewhere else for more gameplay then.
