To those concerned about our reroll policy - don't worry about it! Our dice tray is very small and we miss all the time! If we only rerolled the dropped die it would create a lot of confusing and unexplained rerolls. If Brad had rolled two sixes, he would have had to reroll them all the same. This has been our policy since video #1, and it both giveth, and taketh away. Dice really do be dice, regardless of how many times you roll them!
Just rerolling the one die creates no confusion, because it’s clearly a one off fix. Getting a psuedo ‘relentless’ or ‘violent temperament’ ploy (must reroll all dice) anytime anyone misses once out of the box creates an even bigger problem than what is commonly used by many war gaming channels, which is just rerolling that one die!
Absolutely love you guys content! In my opinion the best kill team battle reports on RU-vid!! My only problem is I wish you released them more often! I hate having to wait 😂
Nice battle report. Regarding being on guard, it's not a case of fight first. Operative on guard gets to make a fight action as the attacker. And then the space marine player hadn't actually attacked yet and had 2 actions left. So could have done a fight and shoot action as planned.
I could be wrong but I think you were suppose to roll one less dice at 16:14 because the cover line looks like it is drawn through a friendly operative and its a close quarters map.
I can see the next Mountainside video now “so….about that reroll policy in the last video” haha. Everyone would only reroll the 1 dice, but since you are doing it for a video battle report it makes sense for editing purposes. But man at the same time, brutal for the Dark Angels!!
for anyone confused at 7:55, Brad rolls two critical hits and a normal hit. The crits each deal 3 mortal wounds leaving the space marine with 8 wounds. Although it seems doomed because the magna rifle's damage profile is 5/4 and it has AP2, it is actually very likely the space marine lives. This is because of Durable reducing the damage of one crit by one, and the space marine having one more HP because of Unyielding (so it actually has 9 wounds). Meaning Vic just had to make one normal save, taking 7 damage total and being left at 2HP (Or even better, make the crit save to be left at 1HP). What we learned is you should always roll your saves.
Looks like Hearthkyn may have targeted an operative illegally in TP3 since the marine was in engagement range with a friendly operative? What am I missing?
Can't help but think the outcome might have been different if Vic had just been spiteful from the outset?! Also, looking forward to the 20HP gang animation, for the patriarch...
Hi there, I just subscribed nice video I am learning kill team and wondering how mortal wounds work as normal damage does more the mortal wounds. Can I choose if this does does mortal wounds or just normal damage?
That re-roll rule is truly a bad rule, in theory you could roll 2 dice and if you didn’t like your roll you could toss the other out the box and then you can “re-roll” everything. Not that you would as you guys are friends but the logic is just really flawed is all.
Lesser dwarfs perhaps: STEADY ADVANCE The Kin are a robust and pragmatic people, used to hard lives in the galactic core where danger is to be found aplenty on uncharted worlds and asteroids. Thus they are well trained and experienced in traversing treacherous terrain. While a friendly HEARTHKYN SALVAGER operative is performing a Normal Move action, add 1 to its Movement characteristic.
Can we please get the jump scare back? No 1hp gang this game 😢. Looking forward to termination good quality battlereport as allways. Hopefully next few games no ibtercession.
did you guys paint the terrain purple, and then foam brushed that turquoise color in? looks great, unlike your mom (since I know I wont get a response).
