I listened to Light Of the Jedi and it was fantastic! Space Opera September was going great with Halo Legacy of Onyx and the got killed by Dune Messiah unfortunately. Enjoy Jedi!

didn't know about this challenge, but decided to read sci-fi in September. I've read "How high we go in the dark" (many thanks for recommending this), "A memory called Empire" and I LOVED both of them !! I've also read "An absolutely remarkable thing" and it was good too.

I missed last year, but I’m really excited for this year’s prompts! So far I’ve reread book 1 & continued in Cat Rambo’s Disco Space Opera series and am currently rereading Starsight so I can continue with the novellas. I’ll be honest - I didn’t like the first novella which kept me from continuing, but I’d really like to finish the series this year.

@@ToriMorrow I’ve seen reviews wherein people didn’t like the strange mix of cozy + found family + cooking drama + high stakes adventure. I thought it wasn’t bad for how short it is and I overall enjoyed it. Besides, it’s tough to resist a sentient space ship. 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

Just to update!! Light of the Jedi is set a few hundred years before the Phantom Menace and it’s an amazing book!! I think I gave it 4.5 out of 5. Also, didn’t know that it was space opera September!! It’s ironic because I’ve been craving reading some space operas lately and I just bought A Desolation Called Peace and the first book in the Culture series.
