In the past it used to be super rare since the extra stuff was expensive, but now that it's required it's a lot more commonplace.

@@Sanek-gw4cv because the points and time you spend on it are better spent rushing to ascend, and once you ascend you're too busy killing people to bother making traps or potions If you decide to spend time making potions its only a matter of time till an a greyshirt stunbatons you, you shatter a dagger to tele, you end up in security infront of the warden and 2 seccies, shatter another blade, and end up stuck in some random place like emitter room in engi where ai will track you and its GG

when they die they can self res once, its a crystal that forms and revives them after a minute, if the crystal is destroyed before they res, they become perma dead and dnr. if the res completes, they are alive, but have brain damage in return

@@XiaoYueMao Actually it's a bit worse. Brain damage you can bounce back from, but crystal revived ethereals are given a permanent brain trauma. Also, if the crystal they're in is broken, they can still be revived as normal. It's ideal to break the crystal if you're able to get to them since it means they won't end up with a brain trauma.

@@XiaoYueMao aw, did they change it? i used to roll ethereal with a brain tumor so i could die and res over and over just to see how fucked with traumas i could get

@@private-local-enemy im pretty sure the etherals can only crystal revive once, either that or breaking the crystal prevents them using it again, im unsure

@@XiaoYueMao they're not dnr. Sometimes medbay will smash a crystal and revive them since its easier than rolling on permenant traumas
