Passengers (2016) is a sci-fi romance set aboard the starship Avalon, en route to a distant colony planet. The ship, designed for a 120-year journey, houses thousands of passengers in hibernation. When a malfunction awakens Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) 90 years too early, he faces a lonely existence in the vastness of space. As he grapples with isolation, Jim discovers Aurora Lane (Jennifer Lawrence), another passenger who has also been awakened early. Their growing connection leads to a romance amid escalating dangers, as they uncover a critical malfunction threatening the entire ship and its passengers.
