We usually ride this a minimum of 5 times every trip. Can never get enough of it. Just a classic, feel-good, attraction that comforts me and reminds me of my childhood in so many ways.
we ride it about 2-3 times every trip. So magical when you come around that corner and the stars just shine in this infinite universe with this incredibly moving music. My heart could just burst
I really love the new version of this attraction. You feel like you're actually traveling back in time, and you forget about your worries, if only for a brief moment. The ending could use revamping though.
the plans actually got cancelled bc of the whole pandemic. kinda happy bout that, but it would have been cool to see what the planned project was going to be
SimpliSam plans have not been completely cancelled as of yet, but do to the aftermath of the pandemic and minor depression, a large majority of Epcot future world plans have been put on a hiatus. The main issue of which is that Disney wants to have as little construction going on for the 50th anniversary year therefore we won’t know what happens until that is over but more announcements will be coming in the coming weeks or months.
The redux is probably going to happen sooner or later once things get back to normal. The whole problem of the current "communication" theme being constantly outdated still stands. My question now though is if they're still keeping it closed for now? Because it was scheduled for shutdown before the pandemic ever started.
Tbh I think Scar was the best narrator for the ride, hopefully when they eventually do the update for the ride, we get a new narrator, even though the current one is good, I would like to see what they have in mind for a new one
It feels like I am home when we are on this ride. This has been my son's favorite ride since he was a kid. This year he is bringing his girlfriend to experience the ride with him. He is now 25!
This is my favorite ride at Disney and I don't really know why. I can't wait to take my youngest back to experience this. She was only nine months old the last time she rode it! I think it will be much more fun at the age of seven.
Walt would be proud, it’s just what he would have wanted, something that talked about the future and past, educational but fun, everyone can ride it, and it has a great theme song, Disney pulled this off so well
I just recognized ur Channel. I was like: wait, is that Theme park worldwide?. I love ur channel! Ur channel made me happy for the past decade. And when I was going through hard times. Ur channel inspired me to travel around the world to visit other theme parks.
Anyone else go here not only for the amazing meaning of it all but to cool off and relax after a full day of walking everywhere? We always came here to relax about at 5. 😄 Still one of my favorite rides to sit back, relax and just enjoy
who else listens to this as many times as they can in a day? I'm homeschooled, so I can listen to it while I do my school, and it's amazing! (I always smell the burning library for some reason!)
I enjoy this version of the attraction, but here are some things I tend to feel about it: The music is lush and grandiose and it makes you feel good, but it's not really memorable like the previous version's. I adore Judi Dench, but by no fault of her own this was not one of her best projects. The script seemed "dumbed down" to me, and the ride's message/purpose seems to have gotten lost. The Jeremy Irons version was, in my opinion, pure perfection (I still get chills listening to the soundtrack) but Disney parks always evolve and change with the times. It'll be fun to see how it gets updated over the next 20 years.
ShootAndSpin Another thing that sucks about the new version of Spaceship Earth is that during the Renaissance scene where there's a guy mixing paint, a guy painting fruit, and a guy sculpting is that the window in between the painter and the sculptor is partly closed, so you can barely see the city in the background. Plus, the music by Edo Guidotti that was used in the Jeremy Irons version of Spaceship Earth was so awesome it gives me goosebumps! Now, the music by Bruce Broughton used in the Judi Dench version is nowhere close to goosebumps. If you want to know when they partly closed the window, it was June 2015.
There is a short part where the music gets a little to loud and I always expect her to yell "WOULD YOU TURN THAT DOWN!?!" And then go back to being polite and proper continuing her narration
I Saw Communicore Weekly's Setting for their shows on this ride by the way this is me and my mom's favorite Epcot ride. thanks for uploading the current version of the soundtrack.
I truly love Spaceship Earth, but I wish they would do some refurbishment to the track and cars. You can really feel that Ker-PLUNK everytime you move on to a new segment of track.
Unfortunately we don't have an area on our website to download this from. But please bookmark us and visit often for some of your favorite Disney attractions.
@Josh Goodstein, Because the ending is similar to Horizons. Also, As I told somebody, The future has caught up to most of Epcot today anyway. The things that they talked about, showcased, and experimented with in the old Spaceship Earth in Communications, we already have today. - Dwight
@Josh Goodstein, I`ll put it to you this way. I want Dreamfinder back in Journey Into Imagination. I want the Original Universe of Energy back, but that's not gonna happen, because I don`t sponsor them. If you disagree with this version of Spaceship Earth the way it is now, What if I bring up the word, " HORIZONS " ? Sound anywhere familiar to you? - Dwight
Every time I ride this ride, it always stops at least twice. Idk if it's my bad luck or... The first time, it stopped on the part before you go into the cinema section and the part where you go down backwards at the end. The second time, it stopped at the beginning when you go up the lift hill, in the end in the matrix area (if you've been to Spaceship Earth anytime recently you know what I mean), and in the end where you go down backwards.
Spaceship Earth is a continually moving ride. The reason it stops is because they need to pause the ride to allow a disabled person to transfer in or out of one of the cars... It's nothing to do with the ride itself but the fact that the moving conveyor belt where you transfer into/out of the cars is too fast for a disabled person in a wheelchair to transfer. Thus, the pause in the ride.
