What do you think? Are these new tanks for pressurization, and is SpaceX done with autogenous pressurization? Is SpaceX making up for the lower capability of booster 15? Or do they want to give Booster 15’s head a hat?

I wonder if these hold the required amount of fuel for the landing that way, if for any reason the tanks were to run low, this reserve amount would allow still to reach tower. Or maybe this is an abort amount of fuel in case they can’t catch and these provide the fuel to fly it back to ocean to abort.

Better than Rocket is here Easy lift off Easy land on with antigravity Spaceship No Fire No Explosion No Flame Just Spin and Lift off Powered by Baterry Work base on Gravity just spinning by using Battery can fly in bad weather, plunge in the ocean even in outer space Can lift more than 100 Ton Earth which weight predict 600 trillion ton does not fall at the Sun because of centrifugal in orbitting, on the contrary it does not be thrown far go out the orbit line of hold by gravity at the Sun as orbit center. Gravity and centrifugal is equal called Equillibrium, thats why until now Earth which we was inhabited always rotate and circulate the Sun. Now we justly take example : how if the gravity used and centrifugal is negated? The Earth will float far leave the Sun. So that centrifugal can be used to fly far away if gravity eliminated. Finally how to eliminate gravity? It’s way rotate part of aircraft by horizontal. When that rotation faster centrifugal force getting greater and the gravity getting smaller, finally it lose the gravity and the aircraft start flying. Of course people would surprise: how the aircraft can keep rotate without fulcrums? Thats why we named that aircraft Shuttling System that is aircraft likes two disc adjoining attached in the midle as fulcrums: A. The Top part, we name Positive rotate to right, and the edges is getting thicker and havier. B. The Buttom part, we name Negative rotating to left, and the edges is getting thicker and havier. C. Middle Part , we name Neutral, air crew placed and also machine and everythings turning Negative and Positive at the same time. The aircraft can liftup added with explosion from the engine. However that aircraft construction later, let the engineer doit it, and we are sure the aircraft will bulletproof and also waterproof. . . In modern civilization where human being generally using flying saucer as vehicle, will a lot of change in lives either in materialism and in psychological. In materialism area will apply the change in life like. People no longger need roadway and rel road which spend large of energy, money, places, things and time, object place and time. People would utilize that area for habitat or for other need:

My postulation is that these tanks are for landing pressurization. The autogenous pressurization system has water vapor in it, thus leading to ice build-up in the tank and blocking the intakes for the engines. Some of the autogenous system will still be used, but until they figure out how to remove the water vapor from it, it will be secondary to the small tanks, likely full of Helium.

Some good reasons NOT to catch the booster on the tower: Untill they have a 99.99% landing success rate the risk of destroying a tower on landing is too great. If they catch the boosters at sea they will gain some payload capacity, and they'll be able to inspect and refurbish them in queue, so even though it would require more boosters overall, it could potentially increase launch cadence because they could launch one booster, and have several more ready to mount and launch, with much less risk of destroying a launch tower. Losing a tower would be a huge detriment to launch cadence. Also with the current gameplan they're going to build a habit of getting the booster inspected and refurbished as fast as possible after it lands on the tower, which will lead to accidents.

You guys need to start differentiating between the first and second stage of the Falcon 9...It was the non-reusable stage that caused the problem...what does that say about re-usability???
@dphuntsman
@dphuntsman Месяц назад
That’s a very critical point for the future; including, for example, folks at say RocketLab. Their new Neutron will have a reusable 1st stage but still expendable 2nd stage. Once they go thru birthing pains for the first stage & are flying regularly, any operational failures they end up having will probably happen…on the ‘new’ 2nd stage that is flown each flight. - Dave Huntsman
@simongeard4824
@simongeard4824 Месяц назад
Even on non-reusable vehicles, second-stage failures make up the majority of incidents... e.g. RocketLab have never had an Electron booster fail, but they've had a few second-stages malfunction, and the same can be said of most of the industry. I suspect it's simply that first-stages can test a lot of their operations while still on the ground (e.g. static fires), while second-stages have to ignite their engines in freefall, and have to operate them in a vacuum... much harder to ground-test.

It will be interesting to see if Polaris III's spacehip will have an interior similar to the Lunar Lander. With all that space, it would make sense to have sleeping quarters and a bathroom....

My prediction for the next Starship Flight 5 is that it could launch on Thursday, August 1st, since all previous Starship flights have occurred on Thursdays (except for Flight 2, which launched on a Saturday). If not on August 1st, it might be on August 8th,Thursday, God Knows

Why don't they use heat tiles to cover the launch pad and tower? Aside from protecting the site, it would be a recurring test for heat resistance, vibration and shock, which could be used to make Starship's heat shield more reliable.

Is safe because dragon capsule can probably eject and parachute back safely. If the parachute don’t work, use dragon engines to hover land. If the dragon capsule can do hovering land.

stacking should be quick, assuming, that from an engineering perspective, if you have built out each section with all the necessary plumbing, electrical, and interconnects, getting those built and transported has taken months and been the challenge. I expect the full 9 to be stacked within the next 30 days IF they are in fact complete segments and don't need further work on the ground. I like the approach they have taken to build it like a lego block tower. Wonder if NASA long-time engineers just look at this approach and shake their heads that they got entrenched in their mindset of how to build launch towers.

Helium tanks are kind of a disappointment. The big win on autogenous pressurization is you don't have to worry about having your helium all boiling off on long-duration missions. Helium pressurization means no Mars missions.

The plan is to check first before sending it to the pad but that does not change the mission. The intent is to catch it. No might or could. That’s the plan with a safety measure in place.

It's got to be frustrating for you to see your channel metrics increasing regarding number of recurrent viewers and yet that figure keeps growing at a pace greater than your subscriber base. I noticed 2.8M vs 2.6M in your prior version of this PSA. Also noticed since you recorded that your subscriber base only increased 1K from then to today although you had 200,000 more people viewing the video. Does make you wonder if people are just not subscribing as much to ytube content these days. I know I'm considering unsubscribing to a number of channels whose content I no longer look at (not WAI ). Just wondering.

@@peter-hr1gl subscribers are far less important for RU-vidrs these days. If you watch content from a certain creator yt knows to keep feeding vids to your homepage. It’s also far more important to have recurrent viewers than subs because not all subs are active and empty subscribers can actually hurt your channel in the long run

@mattkingston6157 Месяц назад
Nobody else refers to their rockets by separate names. Falcon 9 is the entire rocket including all stages. Same with Saturn V, Delta II, The Space shuttle, and every other rocket ever made. The second stage is a part of the falcon 9 rocket. Has falcon 9 ever flown without its second stage? No it hasn’t ever

@@mattkingston6157 not in this case...because clearly it's different... the booster can be used in other launches...the second stage doesn't. Random out of box thought...Falcon Super Heavy (5 Stage 1s where 4 outer cores are recovered and central acting as a large Stage 2) could lift significant porions of a future space station in a single lift
@simongeard4824
@simongeard4824 Месяц назад
No it couldn't. There'd be very little benefit in such a vehicle, because Falcon Heavy is already very limited in what it can do... it's not short of power, but it can't lift *big* payloads due to being a skinny rocket with a small-ish fairing. Adding two more cores will give you marginally more mass to orbit, but it doesn't help unless that mass is very compact.
@guydanielsau
@guydanielsau Месяц назад
@simongeard4824 Who says the most upper stage has to be the same diameter as the stage 1. Starliner has a larger diameter than its 2nd stage. You could have the final load with a diameter of three Falcon 9s
@simongeard4824
@simongeard4824 Месяц назад
@@guydanielsau It doesn't have to be the _same_ diameter, but if it's much bigger, you can't fit a fairing around it.... and even if you could, it's not great aerodynamically to have a giant wide fairing at the front of a very skinny rocket. Starliner is an interesting comparison in that respect - it doesn't launch _inside_ a fairing, but it does need that weird skirt below the service module to remedy the aerodynamic problems caused by the size mismatch.
