After leaving University I started my working career in 1977. I'm now 70 and retired. To think this Voyager and its sister have been out there working 24/7 for sooo long is just astounding. To the teams involved my hearty congratulations. A credit to all.

it very much isn't sadly, it is actually getting very old... and believe me, I WISH it reached a bit further, it would give us extremely valuable data on the galactic attraction force, but... I don't think that's happening...

Thank you for having a human as reporter for you. Too many sites use bot to read the script and they have not corrected when the bot have a hard time reading it. We easily understand $240, but a bot will read it as two four zero dollars so the script needs to be corrected to read it as '2 hundred forty dollars'.

The idea that Russia will have any meaningful contribution to future lunar missions beyond slapping a flag on a chinese craft is laughable. They have neither the budget, will nor brain power especially after Roscosmos empties out fallowing the retirement of the ISS.

It seems to me we need to make the Deep space Network a Deeper Spacey-er Network. Maybe I should strap some walkie talkies to a bunch of bottle rockets. . . Seriously though, the amount of redundancy and resilience in these craft absolute continue to amaze. Great video! The pics from NZ have been amazing. Jack and Max did great work!

Why do people say Voyager is doing science? It's not. It's recording and transmitting observations. Science is a much broader process than mere observation.

😢 "China and Russia partner up". We really do need to kick out our governments - ordinary people don't want "them and us", we just want to find ways to reach for the stars together as one peaceful star-faring civilisation.

Russia is good at space. They landed on Venus twice.
@lazarus2691
@lazarus2691 5 дней назад
Venus is the easiest planet to land on due to its thick atmosphere (Earth is second easiest for the same reason). The United States once successfully landed on Venus *by accident*, with the Pioneer 13 "day probe". No parachute, no landing thrusters, nothing. It just fell into the atmosphere and hit the ground slowly enough that it continued working for another hour or so until its battery ran out.
