Apologies for not posting last week! We had recorded a banger of a pod and then audio corrupted. Regardless, Thank you for the amazing support Hope you guys enjoy this one 🤝📦
The carvajal foul was really smart he had 2 yellows anyway and he would miss the semi final anyway so he took the red card because it didn't really mattered
To have followed you from making TikTok- and geo(stadium) guess vids, to now having a 100k sub RU-vid channel and a balling podcast has been such a pleasure. For god sake, keep the content coming!🙏🏻
Guys the law on penalties changed the last season, in the IFAB laws: The kicker: • can stop and start during their run-up to the ball • must not stop or feint (pretend to kick the ball) at the end of their run-up - they must kick it immediately Ronaldo did come to a complete stop and it was perfectly legal, even thought i also think it gives to much advantage to the kicker.
Musiala actually was gunning for POTT aswell. Rodri and Carvajal whom the respective fanbases claim to be the best of all time in their positions, were on their knees to stop Jamal Musiala in any way possible. Hes the best talent in the world by far. Carvajal was already banned from the SF by so it wasnt THAT much of a sacrifice, but if he could do it again, I guarantee you, he would. You do not want Musiala on the ball in that position with the game on the line. Like Nagelsmann said, its only unfortunate Germany have to wait another two years before they become world champions now.
Amazing pod as always, this one goes out to all of you: what made you each support the club you do? Was it just seeing the kits on the tv one day, was it a favourite player, was it cause you were born there or have family from there? I’d love to know cause Ferms being from Rome yet supporting a team from Milano is interesting
Carvajal had already yellow card, (In the last game he also got yellow card) he was anyway suspended for next game, it was last minute of the game so it was a very intelligent move
Really enjoyed this pod. I watched every Canada game of their campaign for copa America and the actual copa and I can clearly tell you that Jonathan David doesn’t fit the style of Jesse March because for Lille he’s a monster but for Canada he should be in Asslani FC, for Cyle Larin I haven’t seen him play in Liga but ever since Canada qualified for the World Cup this guy has been sheeeeeeeeeettt. Do you guys think that Canada’s lack of goals is due to the strikers or just a lack of quality form the squad because I know some international squads don’t rely 100% on their strikers.
Brazil was really disappointing, but saying it's in a worse position than Italy is insane. Both are bad, but it's worse to lose two World Cups in a row with no prospect of improvement because there's no good offensive player. Remember in 2001, Brazil lost the quarterfinals to Honduras, one of the worst defeats in history. But you know what happened in 2002. On the other hand, Brazil doesn't have high-level midfielders. Playing for mid-table teams in the Premier League is below our expectations. There's no pressure on those teams to be champions. I just wanted to say that I really like Italy and Portugal in Europe, I always root for both.
Guys rodri literally produced a masterclass vs germany but y'all are saying ruiz was better because of one turn that got edited on Instagram... Oh and this is nothing against ruiz, he has been very good throughout the entire tournament, but vs Germany rodri was better.
i have a lot to say regarding portugal and ronaldo. first of all, portugal have always played like ass, these players have never had any chemistry with each other. to put that on ronaldo is insane. right before the tournament started, portugal without ronaldo were comfortably beaten by croatia, who failed to win a single game in the euros. second, goncalo ramos is by far the most overhyped player i’ve ever seen. the brother had one good game his entire career, and is single handedly the reason why psg went out to dortmund this season. you wanna bench ronaldo, fine. but i’d take 5 attackers off the bench before ramos. third, i agree ronaldo was not good at all. however, i see why martinez never took him off, because ronaldo and messi are the only 2 players who’ve shown time and time again that they can change a game at any moment even if they’re having a bad game. what i wanna know, is why is this tournament suddenly about ronaldo when they lose, but about portugal as a team when they win? bruno and bernardo are in their primes for club, and they were as bad as ronaldo, especially bruno. that brother was doing shit cross after shit cross and no one said a word about his set pieces. it’s funny that no one scored a free kick this entire tournament but ronaldo is being memed on for missing his, even though he had a couple good attempts. portugal had 10+ corners in every game except turkey and not even ONE threatened the opposition! not one word of criticism about it. even outside of portugal, mbappe (best player in the world and is in his prime) missed one of the simplest chances of the tournament in game 1 and all he’s done is score 1 pen. several other big strikers have also underperformed, but for some reason the burden is on 39 year old ronaldo. maybe at his age, it’s time the other supposed “big” players on his team step up. even leao, portugals only decent player among the mids and attackers, had a very poor end product, and lost the ball several times after his brilliant dribbles. he’d never start for spain with that kind of passing. i’d love some of these points to be addressed, because i just don’t get it
Im commenting before the final so do yall think that lamine yamal gonna live up to his hype or is it just another ansu fati or bojan situation cuz i aint ready for lamine yamal to asslani fc that would be the ultimate egregious work
Question: Since Mille and germs don’t really have favorite prem teams, who would they pick and why? (I think Mille would love Tottenham, inter and Tottenham lowkey are always linked with players👀)
23:39 Do yall think having a shot clock like what’s in the NBA would be a good solution for keeping games more entertaining?? For example, 2 to 3 minutes in the oppositions half, you have to take a shot. Thoughts?
idk if anyone else realizes this, but for Brazil Dorival has to switch to a 442. There is no reason why joão gomes and bruno guimarães hasbto start together. Pick one and put them next to paqueta, and start vini on the left, raphinha on the right, and start Rodrygo and Endrick together, since neither of them can play the 9 alone.
When are y'all going to do a video where y'all go out to the field and do free kicks against each other again? The last time y'all did that it was fun🤣
the slowing down stopping and all the trash they do before the pen are terrible all these advantages for the striker but once the goalie leaves that white line by one sec, they retake it's a Wack system
Quick question for the pod: If England win the euros, are they the team that was most undeserving of winning the euros ever? Cole Palmer is still a don tho🔥🥶🥶
Varvar, if he did not lose his Italian card before for picking against them, definitely did today with the “Luke Shaw best LB of all time” statement. Or is he considering Maldini a CB? Because Shaw couldn’t even hold Maldini’s water bottle. Oh, one other thing. I think there is bias always in the regional tournaments. That is why I wish the Euro refs would ref the Copa and the Copa refs ref the Euros (or rotate with the African and Asian referees as well.) I personally do not believe that you should ref your same region, because there is some inherent bias there.
Morata cant keep escaping these asslani fc allegations thos brother is dropping disasterclass after disasterclass and btw a decent shout if he has a good performance in the final is dani olmo
I can’t lie, over the last couple weeks I’ve began to notice that Ferms‘ ball knowledge STINKS. He’s just putting out takes casually, like it’s not the total opposite of what he said. I mean, I know Varvar has some crazy takes but he’s obvs playing that character and also to get engagement, clicks and so on whilst Ferms is serious about it
I feel like people are hating on ronaldo too much for this euro. In the first 2 games he was actually good and replacing him with a player like goncalo ramos is not going to do anything. We saw that in the wc, we even saw that in the friendly against croatia. Portugal just doesn’t have that player that you can rely to score goals other than ronaldo
Conceição is the perfect manager for Portugal right now. Aggresive, knows how to manage men, feels football, feels the portuguese race. However, Roberto is not gonna leave this soon. And Sérgio Conceição having managed Porto and being hated for it by Benfica fans and other clubs, it wouldnt be great. Also, Martinez is awful choosing substitutions. Bernardo Sivla shouldnt play, Gonçalo Ramos is actually a fridge and wont finish like Ronaldo. Pepe, Nuno, Vitinha were the best in the tournament.
What is causing the huge lack of strikers in the football world, A striker like thuram this guy starts for arguably the best national team in the world and he is the most janauary transfer to assllani fc looking player, portugal starts ronaldo every match because goncalo ramos is a long lost cousin of assllani. We used to think players like (Cavani, Falcao, Forlan, Giroud, Lukaku, Tevez) are normally spawning.
How did you manage not to talk about the not given penalty for germany? Btw I think germany played better from the first spain goal onwards and spain nearly didn't do anything from there on.
@@WaddupYT he could and probably should have gotten a yellow card earlier but if you truely believe that he would have acted the same had he gotten a yellow card earlier than you don't understand how the sport goes. It's not comparable to the not given penalty.
@@greenmonster5581 even after getting a yellow he was getting away with a ridiculous amount of fouls. For example when he fouled oyarzabal at the top of the box he should’ve been given a second yellow.
@@WaddupYT Btw in my opinion the Kroos argument is stupid alltogether since spain weren't given yellow cards for multiple tactical fouls. For example Rodri should have gotten 2 yellow cards as well and the all reserve players of spain stood the whole game and didn't get a yellow card and if one german reserve player stood up he instandly got one. The ref was all in all randon with the yellow cards but the not given penalty was by far the worst decision.
as a ronaldo fan. I have to agree. he was awful this tournament but I don't think that's all because of him. for example, bruno was even worse than ronaldo for me, he didn't know how to pass the ball
I don't think Ronaldo is the reason portugal went out there are many other factors I agree with ferms on this one, goncalo ramos is not finnishing any of those chances, if someone is replacing ronaldo that person is jota
What are your thoughts on Ronaldo hoping to be playing for Portugal at the 2026 World Cup? Also, should Mpaypal’s/france’s performances this euros be talked about more? They are creating chances but it’s looking like the need Giroud back up top.
i dont think calafiori is gonna be good for arsenal, Serie A plays a lot slower and teams dont have good wingers, i can tell u hes gonna get pumped by the first winger he gets up against
