what caliber and ammunition? I am from portugal, i really like to see the passion you have for the monteria tradition in portugal and spain, you are always welcome. Very good video, big hug 💪
Hello. I really like your hunting style. Could you share what magnification (zoom) you keep the optics at and how you estimate how to position it? Do you use a backlight (red dot) and with what brightness. Thank you, good health and good luck in the hunt from me.
Thank you! As a personal preference i Always shoot with the red dot on im the scope. I turn up the brightness so it fits with whatever kind og light there is. Meaning there is no universal setting that fits, it has to be adjusted to the light. Same with the magnification. I Always have it turned Down so that if i have to shoot at something at real close range, there is often not long time to react and therefore the scope needs to be ready! On the other hand, if the tatget is far away there is most likely time to turn it up…. Happy hunting!👉💨
I know… that’s not how we do it in Scandinavia but in spain you are not allowed to shoot the calf or spikers. That’s how they do it, so if you Hunt in spain, that’s how you must do it…
@@JacobKamman very interesting but somehow strange??? Perfect shooting and I ask myself how you did the running animals with the stick?? Exciting for sure! They do also not care about selective hunting, OR?
@@Woodwalker for me it is also a bit Strange… but you know: “when in rome…” They dont shoot calves and they dont shoot spikers. Regarding the sticks, then I have done alot of practicing with Them. I keep the front of the gun and my left hand on the stick and then swing with my body and the Butt of the gun…
@@JacobKamman ...and that is diversity in hunting culture and traditions, and thats good. Otherwise we would not be better as all the people around us, who want to force others to live like they want. Congrats to this shooting skills. Do you know my youtube hunting channel Woodwalker wildlife & hunting? Would be pleased if you visit us and give us your comments to the way Austrian hunter used to hunt. All the best and Waidmannsheil
Shooting the hind in front of the calf is just discusting, there is no excuse nether with Spanish hunting culture nord. with ethic understanding. It seams that it would be more sufficient for you to accompany a butcher than to describe your behaviour and shooting as a hunt. It’s a shame!
Hello Henning. As i have Said a few times now… in spain it is illegal to shoot the calf. The calves are Big enough to survive without the hind and you know the saying: “when in rome…” I share your belief and would never do this at home in Denmark, but when you choose to Hunt in a foreign country, sometimes they do things differently! That’s just how it is…
@@JacobKamman ethnically this is not an option. That convinces me in my opinion. If you wouldn’t do that back home, why are you doing it there. It is well known and confirmed that especially red deer are in a strong social bend, hind and calf more than the male ones. I have no understanding for that. And be sure, I have lots of opportunities to hunt for red deer.
@@henningisenberg9521 Well, i have to shoot acording to the spanish legislation….😳 if i would have shot the calf and then the hind, I would sit here and answer all The spanish hunters as to why I would break their laws… I see your point and etchically, we dont do the same in Scandinavia, but the Hunt was not in Scandinavia, so then i have to do things right by that countries laws and etchical guidelines… Maybe spain is just not for you?
