Spain update - They are NOT happy 

Hi Stu, Low wages and high requirements (e.g. language skills) come from high unemployment, where thousands of people apply for the same job. Supply and demand. I love living in Spain but one of the negative aspects I have seen over the past 20 years is the inability of various governments to stimulate the economy and create jobs. Thanks for your videos

The folks in the comments reminded me our time in Hawaii, where to work in McDonalds in Honolulu you have to speak 3 languages (English, Japanese, forgot the 3rd), and pay peanuts. And Honolulu is in the top 3 cities of USA that pay lowest wages with highest cost of living. Most people there have 2-3 jobs just to get by.

In your article on Palestinian recognition you stated Israel and Norway as the two other countries. It is in fact Ireland and Norway as the two other idiotic countries. I live and work in Dubai and not one refugee has been allowed in by an Arab nation. My Arabic friends laugh at the stupidity of Europe. I wont say here what Arabs call Palestinians. Needless to say its not pleasant.

I'm sorry, but I love Argentina. But, for decades, their politics have hurt the general people. And they do so by promising and somewhat delivering on their promises, to the dismay of the population. Liberal socialism sounds good, but doesn't create a sustainable economy. I'm horrified that Spain would recognize a Palestinian state after starting a horrific war by taking over 100 hostages. There is a reason the other Arab Countries don't welcome them. At the same time, Israel while understandably wants to minimize their casualties, has a blind eye to the general population, but at the same time, the Palestinians know that the terrorists are imbedding themselves in the civilian population to protect themselves, and that's acceptable to them. No easy answers. Shame on Spain.

Like you, we have noticed the veg thing on al la carta. We also noticed a long time back that lunch people that have a menu del dia always seem to get a salad on one plate. Perhaps they value salad rather than veg. My Spanish neighbour would always look in shock at the amount of veg I would prepare.

I also have problems with predicted text, but the advantages outweigh the negativity. It's mostly in English that it annoys me, but hey! The help it gives me in texting Spanish and German is second to none. We are blessed indeed as even a decade ago, so many things we take for granted were not possible. Great show, Stu. Thank you. 👍
