Adriano Marques it's sad for the final to end up this way but the punishment was in fact correct: stopping that Dutch counterattack by not respecting the regular distance towards the Dutch goalkeeper throw was treated as a foul against a shot on goal, punishable with red card and a 7m penalty. Sad but true, a fraction of a second mistake hit the Spanish team badly.

I am a bit late, but if you still want to know: The rule is that in the last 30 seconds of the game, no mather where on the field the first pass player is given a sort of 3 meter distance safety zone where the defending team isnt allowed to block or intercept that pass. she probably forgot it in the heat of the moment.

Polman is really good indeed... but also an MVP on doing 4, 5 AND EVEN 6 STEPS to shot, and the TERRIBLE sisters playing blind! WOW... Good for them for winning, but it is RIDICULOUS! I watched 20 min. and i've already counted at least 3 goals from Polman that shouldn't had count because she did too many steps! clearly 4, 5, 6 steps!!! Gave a slap on Hernanes' face IN FRONT of these BONAVENTURA blind referee, and she received nothing! Spain didn't help too, but these referee's should be BANNED from important matches and finals!!!
