Penalty was no penalty because Costa stept on the leg of de Vrij. The wanker who said it was a penalty need to pearl ore another store where they sell glasses

Fun fact: the Dutch national anthem (the oldest lyrics after the Japanese national anthem) is the only national anthem in which the king of Spain is honoured.

1 the penalty was unfair 2 the 3rd goal was a fair goal. Casillas timed it completely wrong

You are absolutely right. Diego Costa should have got a yellow card for that. The third goal of The Netherlands was a fair goal because Van Persie just jumped with Casillas.

1 Penalty was unfair indeed imo. De Vrij was past him then he put his leg behind him as if he was hooked. 2 3rd goal was unfair I think. Casillas made a mistake but RvP still jumped into him in the keepers area.

1) The penalty was fair. It was not a dive and, like the commentator said, the defender's trailing leg is not the attacker's responsibility. 2) Clear foul against the goalie. The attacker's intention is not relevant in the six-yard box: if he's obstructing the goalie, it's a foul by definition. Still a well-deserved, incredible win for the Netherlands.

Sorry reindeerkid, your comment is based on emotions, not the rules of the game. If your (1) was true, then no penalty would ever be given for unintentional fouls or unintentional hand play. The defender's intention can play a role in the ref's decision, but if the foul, like a trailing leg which is, again, the defender's responsibility, is disadvantaging the attacker, intentionally or not, the ref has to give a penalty. Similar situation for (2): it doesn't matter if the attacker is intentionally or unintenionally hindering the goalkeeper. In the six yard box that is a clear foul. Just check the rules of the game.

reindeerkid You've never heard of or seen unintentional hand play in a football match? With emotions I meant how you feel about these specific incidents, not who you support.

Look the ref can always give a penalty in those situations because there was some form of contact, but CLEARLY, looking back, it was Costa who sought contact with De Vrij's leg (a.k.a. NO penalty). What the hell is this guy going on about??
