Im a native Spanish speaker and I’m just here to make sure he’s teaching correctly.....ANDDDD he is a great teacher. I approve. Lol. Good luck to anyone who is trying to learn Spanish :)
@@DA_7 Hahaha I always wondered how my teachers sounded to natives. I'm Dutch and didn't have Spanish class, my French teacher sounds native... my German teacher was polish and couldn't even speak the language and my English teacher sounded Oke, but she tried soooo hard for the accent it was cringe.
76 years old. I failed Spanish twice in high school, spent money on an expensive on line class, went to Spain and could only say Hola. Learned more today WITHOUT anxiety, confusion or crushed ego in an hour than in my whole life. Thanks for ...what is to me..the secret touch of a good teacher. Some day I hope to write this to you in Spanish!
After deciding to get started leaning a bit of Spanish in my old age (72), I landed on YOU this week. Having been a teacher myself for 29 years, I compliment you on your approach and style. Very engaging and practical. I see that 8 million others have already noticed that. :-) So much Spanish in our culture here in the U.S. and so much Spanish being spoken around me at times, I'm just getting tired of being so ignorant. If somebody's making fun of me for being so ugly, I want to know what they are saying! :-) It's a bit daunting, but I am on no schedule and plan to just spend some time here and there getting started. No plans to become a high school Spanish teacher anytime soon. :-)
If anyone is searching comments to check if the video is worth to see or not than I assure you it is very good and you should spend your 27:54 minutes on it...He is an excellent teacher..☺☺☺

@@wilsonchaparro2866 hi, i'm not a native English speaker. But i'm really fluent in this language. I would be happy to help you with your English learning process! i also LOVE learning Spanish! It would be great if we could practice together:)
@MorningStarKnowledge This ^ I’m a beginner at Spanish, but I went to BSL lessons that were taught in sign with a whiteboard and it blew being taught in English out of the water. By the end of the lesson I could follow along what the teacher was saying and all the vocab he was teaching.
I am so grateful to this professor teaching Spanish free of charge to beginners. I speak 3 languages but I was interested in learning Spanish. His method of teaching is unbelievable. He deserves more than thank you. Thank you very very much dear Professor.
Episode 1 "5.6 million views", episode 2 "1.4 million views", episode 12 "277 thousand views" and season 2 episode 1 "30 thousand views". People are giving up real quick.
For anyone reading this, who is at Quarantine: Just study harder with patience, for sure after quarantine you'll be fluent in spanish. Dont waste days, learn something.
I am a Spanish native speaker and I can honestly say that you are an amazing teacher! You have excellent techniques that students can use to learn Spanish! I will be sharing your videos with students who are trying to learn Spanish in my school district. Thanks for all you do!
Lucia De La Cruz I am Spanish too and just my friend has been watching this and she is becoming fluent he has taught her so much and I’m so proud of her
From a beginner's point of view, what he forgot to tell you that Nosotros = we (male) Nosotras= we (female) Día (day) is considered masculine word so it goes with bueno ( ends with o sound) Now, tardes (afternoon) and noche (night) are feminine words so they go with buena( ends with ah sound) so it is buenos días Buenas tardes Buenas noches..
Y yo aquí aprendiendo ingles porque español siempre supe :v ánimo tú puedes :) And here I was learning English because I always knew Spanish: v Let's go, you can do it :)
I am learning and I’m also a language professor. You are right, but he covers enough in the first lesson. I’m pretty sure he will go into more details about the genders of the nouns and the pronouns. Good remark! Let’s see how he goes into details in lesson in the next lesson or so.
I'm 51 years old and a Filipino...it is such music to my ears the Spanish language and my grandfather spoke it fluently, I wish I had given it time to learn it with him but I guess there is still a chance for me learn it and Dr Evans is such an excellent teacher..
This is by far the best channel I have found so far for learning Spanish on RU-vid! Dr. Evans has a real gift for teaching, and his lessons are clear and easy to understand. I am also using Duolingo, and had been confused as to what words to use in different situations. His videos have cleared all this up. Dr. Evans has a new channel on RU-vid called " The Language Tutor", and I will be furthering my learning there, after I finish the lessons here. I highly recommend his lessons! Thank you Dr. Evans for these amazing videos!

This video has been fantastic...my son and I are English speakers..i am learning Spanish so I can help my son...any interaction with Spanish people would be great
This is my first stab at trying to learn Spanish, and what a fantastic breakdown of the basics. I have a 30 minute drive to work every morning and 30 minute back and this fits into my drive perfectly thank you.

I paid $180 for a book on top of $900 course with a professor that only send reminder about the deadline! I am so glad I found this Chanel THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I’m a Spanish native speaker and the way you give this class somehow gave me a different way to use in my lessons when it comes to Spanish basic lessons. Thanks
Out of the numerous, various, Spanish for beginners courses I have tried this has by far the best structure for learning. I think the presentation is also the best and very well explained by the 'Professor'.
You're a Teacher of Teachers..., your simplified manner of teaching makes leaning Spanish not only highly easy to grasp & understand but also interesting & fun! Thanks sir !
Because of quarantine, I was able to finish watching Spanish series like La Casa de Papel, El Dragon Return of the Warrior, La Reina del Sur, Elite, and Toy Boy. And now, I want to learn Spanish already... hahah. Gracias.
I have been partners with a native Spanish speaker for 6 years, he speaks perfect english. His parents, however, only speak Spanish. The language barrier is sometimes difficult. I have picked up so much over the years. But I am not confident speaking it due to lack of practice and pronunciation. Grateful to find this man, his pronunciation and explanation behind it is launching me forward on the basics I needed. Thanks cool guy 😎
Yo estoy aqui nada más para ver como enseñan mi idioma, mientras tanto yo quiero aprender el suyo :( Algún día lo lograré. Llevo años practicando y ya puedo traducir algunas cosas. ¿Quien más?
I’ve been trying to learn Spanish on and off but haven’t managed to take it in. I always seem to lose interest. Your video is very easy to follow and to understand. I will definitely be watching more of your videos. Thanks.
The part about the vowels is the very most important part of the whole Spanish thing. Once you have those five sounds clear, you can read *ANYTHING* in Spanish and always say it right, and that will help you also write because it is the exact same thing too. You say what you read, including those accents in the vowels when they appear, and you write those vowels exactly as you hear them. No crazy mixing or changing sounds like in English, when you see things like "pool" and "door", or like "May" and "Hey", or "meat" and "meet", etc.
Thank you so much! I moved to Miami three years ago. This is by far the best learning experience I have had with learning Spanish. You have no idea how much you have blessed so many people!
When I was reading a book, there we’re lots of Spanish words and when I kept on reading, I thought Spanish was very interesting, so here I am now, learning Spanish. Gracias for making this amazing video, and I know it helped a lot of people learn Spanish.
Hi, I'm Andrea and I'm looking for someone American who wants to learn to speak Spanish, and I want to learn to speak English but I have realized that I need to speak with someone fluent in order to advance faster and for Spanish it is exactly the same, It would be how I help you, you help me. Anyway, if you don't want to, don't worry, thanks for your attention
I'm just new here. I'm a Filipina and studying Spanish language. Not to brag but it's easier for me to understand their language and sounds, even the spelling because our language "Filipino" language mostly were made up from their language (Spanish). We have so much Filipino words adapted from them.
@@mariamonicadelgado8925 Our country was colonized by Spanish people for 333 years so that's not impossible. Most old people (grandparents) here can speak Spanish fluently, too. 😊
@@mariamonicadelgado8925 If you hear Filipino language, you'll easily learn about it. We Filipinos also do not know that some of the words we thought a Filipino word was actually a spanish word. That's why, when I started learning Spanish, I am astounded hehe Spanish is a beautiful language...
@@glypicar270 That's not true. I don't know any Filipino grandparents who can speak Spanish fluently. Only the elite Spoke fluent Spanish like maybe 80 years ago or so. Most of them just know some Spanish words, that's it.
Thank you so much for putting this course on line. I've struggled to find a course that I can follow.... the pace is great and the explanations are brilliant. You make learning Spanish a joy. Thank you
Came across this after an exhaustive search to understand the groundwork. Thank you for this and all subsequent videos. Been watching them and going back for reinforcement. These are great!! I'm a former teacher and can so appreciate these videos. Muchas Gracias!
I'm so happy to have found these videos. I've been trying to learn Spanish on my own with apps and online resources, but it's tons of information without any natural sequence. I'm excited to have a course of direction. Thank you for your time and effort and your commitment to teaching this very important language.
Omg thank you thank you thank you and a million times thank you. Right after this video I looked up an article in Spanish with English audio and I was able to read mostly everything. You are an amazing teacher and one day when I become fluent in Spanish I will always be mentioning you to people and letting them know how much of an amazing teacher you are. You truly motivated me and once again thank you 😊
Duo Lingo: Practicaste tus clases de Inglés? Yo: Yes Sir Duo Lingo: A que costo? Yo: My family Es el dia opuesto.jpg xD Hello american bois! greeting from Mexico! :D
Wow this is the best video I’ve ever watched on Spanish. I’ve been trying to learn for years using Duolingo and other apps and I just can’t seem to get it. I feel my brain actually building neurons and learning watching your video ! First one and I’m happy with what I’ve learned and I will practice this. I’m having a baby who’s father is Dominican so I want to learn Spanish for my child. He and I are no longer together and he doesn’t wish to see the baby but I still want to learn and teach them.
I hope your lessons go well and congratulations on your baby!!!🎉 Long as you're an amazing parent, your baby will feel love with or without your former love.
Absolutely fantastic. Just learning the “toolbox” propels your learning to the next level; after you learnt how to read and pronounce, you can pick up any book, or language learning book for that matter..., and start learning even on your own. Which can’t be said about English, you can’t learn it from a book. You can, but still don’t know how it will sound. Anyway, best teacher by far I’ve ever seen, and I learnt multiple languages (by and large on my own), I wish this technology existed forty plus years ago when I decided to learn my first language. It was Italian, actually, then Turkish, German, and obviously Russian. But again, speaking of technology; don’t use your brain, now there are portable translators, or are there, seen advertised, you say something, and it says it after you on the language of choice on the menu. Still, learning a new language, and then interact with the natives on it, was always magical to me..., aka, mumbling out couple of “meaningless” words, and your conversation partner starts nodding, and understanding..., or laughing hysterically, or running after you with a knife if you mispronounced something that had a different meaning. All happened. But still. Opens new doors. Learning a new language. (Figuratively speaking, unless it is “open Sesami” in which case just saying the words open doors, or at least that legendary one).
I have been very pleased with the progress I’ve made using this t.co/sbtCvyBY1m Spanish learning course. We are English ex-pats who moved to Spain, and have been trying to learn the language, seriously, for 4 years. However, in our 60’s learning a new language has been daunting. But we are making real progress now, thanks to your course.
My dad just told me this too. He speaks fluent Spanish, and told me Greek is very similar. I was confused because the letters are so different in Greek, but pronunciations are similar!

I’m 11 and knew when I was older, I would not be able to learn this as easy. So I’m here, beaming and nearly tearing my face when I first learn how to pronounce Spanish words… I love myself sometimes
Also, this is actually helping alot. I have Autism and ADHD so I always think this may affect my learning but I’m sure I can learn enough to be happy, mostly happy because I’m not a person with talents so I put myself down and often get very emotional about people with talents so learning abit of another language is the least I can do. Also I think if I manage to learn enough of it to communicate I will memorise it quicker and easier
@@skrunkly5221 Of course you have a talent. It's just undiscovered right now. If you believe in God ask him to show you what it is. Anyway I digress back to the Spanish teacher.
Your video is one of the best out there for beginners. We are using you lessons in conjunction with my sons Spanish class he is taking on-line. THANK YOU!!!!
yeah many Filipino words are similar because we were conquered by Spain for over 300 years. actually the locals had to learn the language as to be able to understand the Espanoles
Thank you for providing these lessons! I took Spanish for 3 years in HS (24 years ago) and really needed to refresh & get back into learning the language again.
There still place in the Philippines that speaks Spanish, we called it Chavacano (In Zamboanga). Chavacano speakers understand spanish speakers but spanish speakers hardly understand them
