I spent last year in Barcelona, crazy how different the Spanish is. I've spoken Spanish my whole life, but I learned it as a little kid in Ecuador so I still find it hard to understand Spaniards when they talk faster than I can think haha. And I kinda gave up on trying to understand my Andalusian philosophy teacher lollll. Sir imma need more than 50% of the word to understand what the heck you're saying 😂 Then again, trying to understand catalán is a lot harder because it's a completely different language. However the level of craziness with the kids seems to be the same haha. They're also veeeery touchy, one time I counted how many times my classmates hugged and it got up to 60 LOLLL. No wonder they're so happy all the time haha
No hate but I’m from Spain and I hate it cause we don’t have homecoming, prom... and you that can study with everything an Spanish person want you want to come here I mean lol
@@mariaesteban198 yo estoy de intercambio en eeuu y aunque es verdad que homecoming y prom estan super bien son solo 2 dias. A mi me encanta estar aqui pero echo de menos la ciudad y poder tener amigos fuera del instituto. Aqui todos los clubs/extraescolares estan dentro del colegio y las distancias son muy largas y hace frio y no se puede salir a la calle. EEUU es estupendo pero la gente lo idealiza demasiado. España no esta tan mal.

Hi I’m Spanish and in Spain we don’t have this motivation to talk in English so I suggest to know the basics of Spanish and if you can know a bit more because if you do that people will approach you because as I said, Spanish people doesn’t really talk in English.... also they insult a lot but that’s normal so if someone tells you that I don’t know... you are stupid don’t take it serious because we insult a lot 😅😅
I’m from Spain, but if you go to a public school, I don’t think they’ll know a lot of english, so I suggest to know a little of spanish. The pronounce is very very important, because in spain is very normal to joke around or insult (normally it’s not to offend but to laugh a little) so if you don’t like that kind of jokes then I suggest you to do it. (It’s not everybody but there is always those kind of people) As for a private school, there are people with different levels of english. It’s better to ask for help or tal to people with higher level because of course they talk better english. And, believe me, when I say people there have different levels of english, it’s VERY different levels of english. Some people don’t know anything of english and they just know how to say “Hello my name is ____• and people which can perfectly talk to english people. If your going here in exchange, I wish you luck. When coronavirus is done, some americans will come here to my school as exchange and then I’ll go there to america so I’m kind of nervous haha
It depends a lot on which part you go (I recommend that you do not go to Galicia, the Basque Country or Catalonia because they are their own states that speak their own Galician, Basque and Catalan language). I think that with you knowing the basics people will understand you and He is going to try to talk to you (I know why French and Italians have come to my institute) because our culture is open but do not think or suppose that they will speak to you in English because most people here even know how to speak it he will not want to speak you in English.

most programs wont “require” anything. Honestly no matter what its going to be very difficult so id try to learn as much as possible before, and try not to stress
I'm spanish and depending of the schools there are more diversity or not. I encoge you because is a great oportunity to learn the lenguaje. Surely It won't take you long to have friends, belive me. I would also love to go to América to learn english
Do not worry a bit about race, just come here, you are guaranteed to have a great experience. Blacks don't hang out with blacks, neither do hispanics. Everyone hangs with everyone.

Yowww, the classes per day is only 6hrs??? Man we have fking 9hrs per day i wish someday my country change its curriculum to 6hrs too. 9 hrs is a total nonsense really! a lot of my classmate including me always do cutting class and go somewhere like bar to do billiards or to computer shops!😆😂
Eso de que los profesores vayan a los cursos en vez de los estudiantes debe ser bastante tedioso para los profesores, deberían cambiarlo porque los estudiantes solo llevan su mochila pero los profesores deben llevar muchas cosas.
