To viewers of this channel who have requested or wanted a video on changing the 12v battery , I changed my Rifter battery today. My method; Remove battery positive clamp. you need to create space to slide battery towards you, In front of the battery There is a bracket with a black plastic box this contains a couple of big fuses, undo bolts that clamp the bracket down, there are cables that clip or slot to bracket, undo them, then separate the box from the bracket. Remove bracket from engine bay, and move box out the way as best as possible, ( this creates the space ) undo battery clamp that holds it down at the base of the battery. Take main fuse box cover off by sliding clamps forward away from you, the fuse box cover can be lifted off, this is just to create space for your socket ratchet when you undo the Torx bolt with the Blue plastic negative earth point , then undo the two little bolts on the left side of this bracket that goes over battery that the torx was attached to, ( my car was missing a little bolt) there is a big flat ish electrical box with those big electric plugs attached don’t undo those those plugs, You can pull battery a little forward, loosen and remove the negative terminal clamp on top of battery, there is a sensor attached to it, but not to worry , you should be able to slide forward and man handle / person handle ( to be pc). Put replacement battery in, then reverse procedure. I did get a spark of the Torx bolt when reattaching the blue plastic earth point, the positive terminal was not connected at the time. Not sure why. I read somewhere, after changing a battery leave car for a few minutes for electrical items to reinitialise , I opened door straight away , light came on, so battery connected. I started the car ten mins later with no problem, just the clock to re-set. I am not a mechanic, I have done minor Diy mechanics on my cars for last 25 years, like servicing, brake pads / disc replacement, battery changes, tow bar installation, car alarm instillation, recharging system for spare batteries for camping 12v power source , that kind of thing on all my Citroens and Peugeots . But I am still learning. If these instructions not clear enough, leave comment reply here. I hope this is helpful. Hello! Great job. It would be great to see how to get to the duct deflector. I'm interested in the driver's side, to the right of the steering wheel (a plastic part fell out, but there's no way to put it back in). Thanks
