i just got a rovan 5b 2 stroke buggy, and it is so much fun to drive, the only thing it needs to run on asphalt is some better tires and a gearing change and it would be a really good buggy. you can change all of that super easily

Kev I just got a arrma typhoon 3s and it absolutely rips you were the one that inspired me to get it but sadly the servo went out on it and I o lay had it 3 days so I’m a jx eco boost servo because it has insane amount of power. I’m glad I got it I would’ve never gotten it if you hadn’t inspired me too thanks kev happy new year

Wow this is the guy who didnt leave his childhood and "manly-fy" his childhood

You don't need "better tires" to get faster speed. What you NEED is the following: better shocks (to better control the dampening...the 'Ultra' shocks are garbage), aluminum or Ti turnbuckles (the plastic links are garbage, and allow way to much "slop"), aluminum steering knuckles & rear uprights (also to remove slop), and (finally) to shim the front & rear driveshafts (also to remove slop). Without doing what I just said, the vehicle will ALWAYS have to much slop, and, thus, will be too "squirrelly" to hold a straight line. I've got two of the Corvette versions - one running the Velineon VXL (3500kv) motor & ESC, the other being turned into a "speed run" car -and that's what had to be done to them. The speed run variant was supposed to be a project worked on with my buddy Richie (Driftomaniacs), until he moved 2000+ miles away a few months ago.

Now that’s a real hotrod now with more power 💥

First of all this video as always was awesome. Thanks that you do these for us. To a whole new year of your videos! I'd be genuinely supprised if the car actually achieves 60 since a shorter motor means a lot less torque. To which more kv would only contribute because they too mean less torque. There fore the smaller motor can't take the different resistances(?) almost as well as the lower kv and longer motor unless the cheetah motor didn't come close to its potential max torque. Which would mean the new motor could still have enough torque to get this done. By the way the sice is 3650 it has only 3600kv if I remember it right. There're probably a few spelling mistakes I'm still learning English in school so sorry for those. I might have forgotten some punctuation too.

Ouu I got my 4tec 3.0 stingray for Christmas it is now vxl brushless with tsm a much needed addition but what an awesome rc 👌👍
