Love this track! Honestly, one of my favourite things about Sparks is that their music is truly timeless. This song could have been released in 1982, 2022 or 2032, and would still find its audience. Awesome!!
I guess he's used to Ron's humor since childhood 😂 "You wanna see a movie alright..." This song has calmed down my temper many times, when people are standing in the middle of way, or parking their shopping cart in the middle of an alley in the store or something like that!😂😂 There are days when we don't deal so well with little details like that, and that's when the song about Brenda fits perfectly!!

4 good albums there ! Terminal Jive , Whomp That Sucker, being the best for me. The 6 albums 1970-1979 is my favourite period ! Good to see them leaning back to that period with Hipopotamus, And Steady Drip ............... Sparks at they're best.

I don’t love them ... or even like them. Yet. But since I love songs from They Might Be Giants, The Talking Heads, or The Weakerthans, I think it’s only a matter of time for me. I almost feel like the only way they wanted to be popular, if at all, was entirely on their own terms. Rather than just ape ABBA, Queen, or U2 ... for that matter.
I'm a HUGE tmbg fan and I just went through all of sparks' music. My favorite albums were from the 70s to 80s! Try out Pretending To Be Drunk or Outer Space, maybe one of them will latch onto you.
