But yes I agree no further legislation is required. That is an excuse to do nothing. The Texas situation between conflicting state police and federal law enforcement has made this obvious. But hundreds of miles of open country - that is a problem. Biden and Mayorkas have basically posted an open invitation.

US can't use that oil. Oil companies will not build the refineries needed to refine that oil because it would reduce prices drastically in the US and reduce their profits.
