ok but for a middle school play this is genuinely so good like what? i mean costumes look good people who were casted were great for their roles and choreography was cool to these kids have a bright future ahead of them!
I'm watching this a year later, but this play is magical! The talent all these students have for their age, like hello?! Disney, come here. Take notes. Anyway, the scenography, the lightning + effects, the costumes, the singing/voices/song remixes and the acting is phenomenal!! They all have so much potential, the mains and backgrounds alike. Like everyone else is saying, the core four here would make the OG cast core four proud (RIP Cameron Boyce). They need to react to this!! Also the actors for the side characters were amazing as well- mainly the villians and Audrey but also even the extras!! Everybody there could become famous with practice if they wanted to.
Okay first off, the costuming was INCREDIBLE! All the effects and outfits were great. Pretty talented actors, and I'm in Middle school, and an actor myself, so that says something.❤🤩
English is not my first language, so I apologize in advance for any mistakes. At space between I just died. Like, they're amazing singers and they fucking CAN harmonize. Shit was good. Whenever Mal or Evie's actress were singing I was just blown away! Idk if Ben was nervous in the beginning, but I felt like he was getting more and more confortable with time. You can notice it in his singing as well. Crushed it at If Only. And btw, Loved putting Ben to sing it, it make so much sense. WANTED MORE OF JAY AND CARLOOOOOS Loved Chad, he was just a clueless jerk and it was kinda cute. Fairy Godmother was a PERFECT fit. She walked in and I was like: THAT'S RIGHT! SHE IS FAIRY GODMOTHER!! Audrey deserved moooore. Let me just say, Jane caught me off guard with that note in the last song. She was so shy the whole time but it was amazing. The 3 villains deserved more too. Justice for Jay, Carlos, Audrey, Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella!! The teacher passed the vibe too. Belle and Beast can be boring even in an incredible musical like this one. Now For my favorite character: MALEFICENT! FUCKING AMAZING, THIS GIRL WAS BORN FOR THIS SHE EMBODED DESCENDANTS MALEFICENT SO GOOD THAT I WAS FLABBERGESTED SHE WOULD SHOW UP ON STAGE AND I WAS LIKE "EVERYONE SHUT UP! THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED!" She served soooo much. Two things that this play me change my mind about, that the movies couldn't do: ●Ben and Mal. They had chemistry, they worked, it wasnt forced. Perfect. ●Doug. I think Doug is so fucking laaaame in the movies, but this Doug? This Doug deserves Evie. He had wait too little time of appearence, but he captured my heart in every second he was in. Well, for songs, I got crazy when I saw the mix between the 3 movies and the animated series. Would've loved if they sang "Evil" too. And absolutely loved the lyrics changes. About choreography, I don't think they had like a pro dancer teaching it, or much focus on the dancing scenes, so it did not hurt the performance at all. Now, for the script: they should have written ALL of the movies. They nailed it! For the singing, all the girls made me fangirl here. For the boys, maybe cause of puberty, but they were little rusty. But it worked??? Like, their characters FELT like their voice, know what I mean? But they have great potencial! Some singing lessons and we will all be like "Harry Styles who???" This shit Was Fucking Crazy Good Thank you so much for bringing justice to descendants!
They were all so good I swear!!! I rlly hope I do a descendants play some time and I hope I get either: evie, jay, or Jane! :D Edit: NEVER MIND I WANNA BE CARLOSSSSSSSS
I do! I’ve never played in descendants sadly, but there some tips! 1. Try and act like ur always in a day dream when your trading one of her lines 2. Act flirty 3. So lots of hair flips and try to look like your concerned about your looks when in character
I am playing evie in the musical and sorry this is kinda late but if you do want to be casted as evie I would really try to express your self in your best outfit but not so nice- and when you walk in try to be the most flirty you can be but not like actually flirt with the director-❤❤❤love yah and anyone who is trying- good luck!!
This Play is incredible the only Thing I didnt really Like we're the cringe dance moves in rotten to the core but It is a middle school Play and everything else was near to perfect.
