Spatial filters in QGIS 

You can use filters in QGIS using expressions based on columns in an attribute table. You can also use all sorts of other spatial queries to interrogate your vector layers.
But did you know that there's a REALLY great spatial filter plugin for QGIS? It's called 'Räumlicher Filter', which means 'spatial filter' in German. You didn't know this? Well, check this video out - and forgive me for my terrible German pronunciation :(
