Todd McFarlane's Spawn is an animated television series which aired on HBO from 1997 through 1999. It is also released on DVD as a film series. The Spawn animated series was ridiculously ahead of it's time. Even to this today, it's an audio-visual masterpiece. It was beautifully done, but just not for the kids. It's NOT a cartoon, it's an adult animated series. It's still AMAZING though. We need either an extension of the animated series, our a new movie? Anyone else keen?

You can still have Jamie Foxx play spawn physically (even speak as Al Simmons in potential flashbacks when he was still alive) but damnit, they'd better get Keith David to voice Spawn whenever he starts talking. It would feel different but organic when he speaks as Spawn cause... well, he's dead lol

What’s crazy is that, like Todd said, the show checks off all TV rating warnings but it never felt too edgy (which I can’t say for the comics). It struck a perfect balance. Well the first two seasons did. Season 3 is truly horrible.

There is a live action movie with Jamie Foxx as spawn set to release later on this year, as well as "Spawn the Animation" to be released shortly afterwards. Keith David will be returning to voice Spawn, as well as Mark Hamill among others.

I see absolutely no reason why we can't have a renewed Spawn animated - Todd can still direct and Keith is still in good shape for voice acting. Invincible was a hit on Prime, even though as a comic series it was only solid good. So go ahead ask Prime or Netflix to invest - I guarantee that with a nowadays viewers it will be a commercial success.

Knowing that Keith David is down for playing Spawn again I think it's high time we get a continuation of the HBO show maybe as a Netflix show the animation side of Netflix is huge with shows like Big Mouth and F is for Family as well as that Todd won't have to worry about restrictions about what can be shown as it won't be on Network TV
