The 38th Annual SPBGMA Convention in Nashville was the most fun I've had in a long time!! 🎶 Held at the Sheraton Music City, January 27-30, 2022; SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America) hosted an incredible indoor event packed with jamming, stage shows, the 47th bluegrass music awards, the exciting international band competition, and tons of great fellowship and fun all centered around BLUEGRASS! 🪕 This year was extra interesting as a power outage on Sunday plunged the stage show into darkness and called for the final round of the band competition to be held outside the ballroom, all acoustic with natural light and no sound system! Even with that extra fun twist, SPBGMA showed us the true spirit of the bluegrass community this year: overcoming adversity, celebrating normalcy with no mandates or restrictions, not letting anything stop the joy of gathering together and making music. THANK YOU SPBGMA!!! 💗 Go support them next year!!
