Buddhist Contemplation, Science, and Secular Society: A Dialog with Khenpo Tsultrim Lodrö
Khenpo Tsultrim Lodrö was born in 1962 in Drango County in Sichuan Province’s Kardze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. In 1984 he received monastic ordination at the world-renowned Larung Five Sciences Buddhist Institute (Larung Gar) in Serthar, becoming a disciple of the preeminent spiritual master, Chogyel Yeshe Norbu Jigme Phunstok. After many years dedicated to the study of the five main sutric treatises and tantric scripture, he was awarded the title of Khenpo in recognition of his scholarship.

I attended a teaching by Khenpo Tsuldrim Lodro in California earlier this year. Thank you for posting this. I plan to go to Larung Gar next year. I know it will be a magical trip.

Thanks, very interesting. Translator Catherine did well, apparently she speaks Chinese too. I hope the Chinese stop demolishing Larung Gar, it sounds amazing and upholding the dharma in difficult times.

I wonder if this Director, who had the same teacher as Khenpo 34 years ago, asked questions for gullible audience or for himself? He surely understands that a ten years though rigorous research by a experts from a University cannot be compared to thousand years-old proven meditation techniques of mahasiddhas?? Khenpo is so diplomatic and kind by not showing it openly

Seems like most people are distracted, almost being obsessed with the fingers pointing at the moon, instead of the moon. Good translator, bad translator etc...

Perfect example of a scholar's ego missing the essence of the mind of a true practitioner, khenpo. Visualizations in tibetan buddhism are not trite cultural colloquialisms
