I love speakers but the mkst touching part for me is when ur daughter asked to use ur phone and u just handed to her without any problems! Love it man!
I really appreciate how your cousin put consideration into installing the tweeters as to not destroy the "mount" with glue. Youve got good family. Its a small thing, but it says a lot
Picked up a 2021 Accord today, looking at replacing all the speakers now. Looking into running an a 4 channel for all the speakers and maybe an 8" sub in the trunk. Or maybe a powered 8" sub and no amp for the doors/trunk lid. Might even just replace all the current speakers and see if it sounds good enough, had a Golf with fender stereo I traded on it and would like to have the accord sound at least that good. Good video, very informative.
Three guys working on the upgrade, it is an interesting video but I notice what looks like a Nitro gas tank in the trunk. These guys no doubt has been racing this car with unsuspected BMW drivers. I did similar upgrades with the Rockford Fosgate R1675x2 and R165x3 on my daughter Honda Accord Sport and I also added a pair of Alpine 1" tweeters to the A pillar trim. I used the R165x3 in the rear because it is 3 way speaker with the super tweeter so the treble and vocal sounds come through much better than stock. Man, I have to say, Honda has gone cheaper on the 6.5" speakers on these 10th Gen Accord again as compared to the 9th Gen. The old speakers from our Honda Accord Sport have much bigger magnets unlike these wimpy ones here. I'd do a few things different than these guys. First, for the rear speakers, I'd use the R165x3 speakers and they fit much better on the bracket. I also used 4 new 3/4" screws to mount the speakers to the bracket because the screws that come with the speakers are too long, it could cause a short. I also use the R1675x2 in the front but hindsight, I probably should have use 6.5" instead of the 6.75" because I can only mount 3 screws to keep the speakers attached to the bracket. In the front doors, I tapped into the extra set of speaker connectors (the Rockford Fosgate has them) to bring the audio to the new Alpine tweeters fitted inside the factory A pillar trim panel that I ordered. In addition, I'd tape the speaker connectors for the tweeters as well as the metal panel where the speakers will touch the doors with electrical tapes. This will prevent the speakers from being shorted out and the factory amp will shut down all speakers when the speaker short is detected. The audio music from my car now sounds much better than even the stock EX-L 7 speakers because the drivers from Honda stock 6.5" speakers have no bass and the vocal is muffled. The only thing missing is the 8" subwoofer that I would add a self powered sub for easy installation. There is no need to any bigger setup, a compact 8" box from JBL, Blaupunkt or Bazooka would do fine.
Nice vid. But you put the white/black wire for the right channel. Remember black wires are "common ground" for both speakers and R is to R, T is to T. Red is for right speaker. White wire goes to left channel. Big brother did it right with the tweeters. Other than that good job.
Thanks for the info getting a 2019 Accord Sport in a few days and time to build a new system. Only thing I wonder is if you have a system that rattles why are you not putting dynomat down while it's apart? Mine will need alot I'm going hard power 12's in the trunk mid & sub amps.
sorry for my english, after you replaced the speakers does the alarms and notifications from the car like seat belt reminder are still working ? mine is 2021
Yeah bro when you first tested those I could tell were loud from vol setting and that was just fronts I got this on my list to do You can actually go in settings and take stock sound and make sound better especially mid range bass Boosted Whipz did a vid on it which improved my sound a lot but nothing like replacing with better speakers 4 sure Stock 🧲 were tiny compared to brand you went with Great Vid as always SAS
No doubt bro I am the same way the louder crisper great bass is a no brainer on these accords Great install Cuz has panels off before ya know lol Great install info shared as always bro SAS
@@heavypupper1219 I believe it… speaker upgrade is not too bad but I would hate to have to deal with that multimedia screen in that accord. Going to look into doing the speakers soon and if all else fails…. Radio it is.. thanks for the input.
love the video, what size speakers did you guys use for the front and the back ? they have 6-1/2 or 6-3/4?? when i click the link in the description it doesn't give details of the speakers or size you guys used.
Yo can you give the full details and info of which speakers and accessories you bought cus it's really difficult to figure out what to buy. Thanks Champ 💯
I’m in Pearland, waiting on my 2022 Accord Hybrid Sport, but I’m clueless on hands-on stuff, hoping y’all are near the area, maybe I can get some help for the installs n upgrades I want to do. Appreciate all the videos
Hey guys excellent work! Wow. I'm doing the same upgrade but with Infinity reference speakers jus the doors. Do you know the color code on the tweeter wires because I have to cut and splice, on the mid ranges I do have those adapters and they are great. Thanks again for giving me the courage to take on this project! Lol 🙏
trying to change the front door speakers on my 2022 sport and the top bolt that holds the speaker into the door is too long to use with the aftermarket bracket. anybody have that issue?
Thank you for sharing this I have 12 inch sub sundown X 12 in my trunk works really great but these speakers on the door and on the backseat are terrible and as they are getting worried they rattle so much and all the components are vibrating too much so this helps. What is the best solution for rattling on those back speakers
Glad to help, but honestly Im not sure mine really dont rattle maybe you can stuff something in between the back panels (obviously not something that would look ghetto either lol )
Sound deadening. Everywhere 2 hard surfaces touch. I used dynamat and CCF and most of tha rattle is coming from the rear window bouncing up against the rear deck panel. Check out my build it will explain everything you need to know www.diymobileaudio.com/threads/18-accord-done-maybe.450463/#post-6039500
Hey guys what's going on? Hope all is well. Are these component speakers that you are hooking up into the front doors? If so, did they come with a small crossover that mounts in the within the door? I picked up Infinity reference component speakers that came with a crossover box and having trouble trying to mount them as there is not much space in this door area. I decided to just close the door panels up and get back to it another day and was just reaching out to you guys to see if anyone had a problem at this as it's pretty common for component speakers. Thanx 🤘
Excelente trabajo muchachos, una pregunta donde puedo encontrar el adaptador para el RCA para conectar el amplificador? Quiero instalar un sistema de sonido pero a sido imposible encontrar ese adaptador para los cables RCA. Gracias!
Thinking about upgrading speakers in my 2019 Accord Hybrid. Mainly wanting the upgrade because the stock have NO bass what so ever even with the stock sub in the middle of the back deck. Does the speaker upgrade actually produce some bass? I would assume so because of the magnet difference but wanted to ask.
You having these for a while now, How do you like these speaker's? Did you ever add an Amp? I just got these because of your video. I bought an Amp with them though. I have 2 12s in the back also on a 3k watt amp
@@jaym6751 I paid someone to install the Amp for me so i don't know how he did it. As for the Alt and battery. I upgraded my subs, i now have 2 Sundown Audio x12v3s on strapped Jp23s. About 6k in power. Yes i upgraded my Alt to a 280amp. I still need to get a couple of lithium batteries.
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 so did u notice a difference . Because I agree with you about the stock speakers. After volume 30+ it sounds so distorted. I'm just wondering how was your experience after a while did they sound that much better after the Rockford's ? I might get the same speakers if they worked for you.
how are these holding up? are they loud and clear ? do they distort at high volume? dont really care about the bass since i will install 2 12s in the trunk
Hey guys could you tell me the mounting depth on the front doors. I'm looking to buy speakers with a depth of 103mm, do you think it would fit? Thank you!
Quick question, i got the same car and im doing the same setup, for the rear tweeter on the deck, which color is positive/negative? Left and right side?
i upgraded without the amp. It sounds ALOT louder than stock for sure. But im sure if you add a Amp im sure you can adjust more and make it louder but i didnt see a point to do it
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 that's promising, I was so disappointed in my touring with 10 speakers. I hope I get added bass without having to change the sub
I am annoyed with the quality of Speakers in the car with no bass at all. I have 2020 Honda Accord Touring and with the highest version the sound system is so poorly installed. Any suggestions on how to improve that punch in bass? Just replacing speakers would help? I am guessing I will need an amp to bump up that voltage ?
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 thank you for the feedback . Can I get away by just replacing speakers with good bass ? I am kinda nervous to mingle with factory wirings and settings
Hey guys, went ahead and did the same upgrade as you guys for my 2019 accord sport and it worked flawlessly for about a day and now if I have the volume maxed out, it shuts the audio completely off and I have to turn the car off and on. Did that happen to you?
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 Nvm, the leads on the rear speaker were both making contact with the chassis causing it to short and cut off. Great videos guys thanks!
Are you guys installing these mids and highs using just the stock radio? No amp? I'm thinking of adding a subs but I go that route I know it's gonna sound like shit cause the stock mids and highs suck. So then I'm gonna have to upgrade those too lol Just trying to get an idea if it's worth it to do just the speakers with no amp?
Well the bass spunded good when i installed subs even with stock door speakers. But with my door speakers i didnt install a amp so it did improve but im sure it will improve more with a a amp
To each their own, but I would've put the money for the upgrades into just buying the 2.0 instead. Maybe that wasn't an option. Idk. The 2.0 is on a whole other level than the 1.5. Speakers and all that can wait lol. Either way, hope you're enjoying it.
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 I hear you..I ended up buying the 2.0 still night pearl over the 1.5 because it was just a more fun ride...I bought mine in February '18... No regrets.
@@chris_favreau I have 2019 same color but 1.5T manual I could not find Still Night Pearl 2.0T manual still a great car but I wish I had 2.0T though lol.
@@NO-END I was a sales person at a Honda dealership at the time...in Feb '18, there were only a handful available in that combo in a 5 state area...I just happened to get lucky.
holy shit honda does NOT make this a user friendly process.... this is blowing my mind that you have to take out all the panels, the back seat and rear decks... holy hell.
I love the "look at the size of the magnet" but you clearly have nfi what a neodymium magnet is and how they can be tiny. You probably also have no idea how a smaller magnet (weaker magnetic field) can also mean higher qts in a door speaker (more mid bass) Love watching ignorant people comparing stuff that they don't understand 😂
Oh geez, the electrical tape to hold a tweeter in 🤦🏻 Yeah that won't melt on a hot day and do absolutely nothing long term. Why not at least just use a small blob of adhesive 🤦🏻 or even a bracket or fixings supplied with the tweeters 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻 No sealing foam on the speakers either. Great fail video showing ghetto driveway garbage 👍
lmao u seem to be the only hater here 🤣 been having it a while 0 issues and the things work and run just fine so take your ass else where bozo 🤣🤣🤣 aint noone trying to go to a sound competition 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for watching tho youbjust paid us 😁
@@baggedandslammedbros8829 thanks keep the installs happening I was thinking going bagged as well never had that always had lowering springs or coil overs
