Seeing as last time I hopped on Omegle I had a pretty decent experience, I decided I'd brave it again and see what happened! I met some really cool people and I love seeing people reactions when I speak in their language (although its not exactly "Black man stuns natives with PERFECT Spanish")

Thanks man! I’m not sure exactly, I was listening to native content quite regularly at around 6 months but that’s not to say I was understanding everything, it can still vary sometimes

Great video! I know you have mentioned watching Spanish series with subtitles on Netflix has helped you as well. Do you take notes while watching Netflix..writing down new word, phrases, etc and then re-watch the show? Or is it more of consuming tons of new content every day vs studying one episode at a time? Sorry for the long question. I’ve been trying out learning languages with Netflix and run into the problem of spending too much time on one episode.

Thanks! Yeah for me personally I just tried to consume as much as possible, I couldn’t say I was rewatching episodes and studying per say, I did note down words and phrases occasionally but just when something really stuck out to me

Yeah it’s just “me apaño” it’s basically just means “I get by” I’m not sure if they use it as much outside of Spain though

I really found that finding resources where I could read and listen at the same time was what boosted my comprehension the most, YT videos with official subtitles are a good place to start, also theres a lot more comprehensible input type channels for Spanish popping up now too. Unfortunately there's no 'trick' so to speak, its a question of time, patience and consistency
