Hiked across a Lava Field to do some 3-prong spearfishing with good friends. The wind was strong, but the visibility was crystal-clear and the ocean was nice and calm. We shot various fish including Kumu, To'au and Menpachi.
Brandon took the catch home and created a Gyotaku fish-print of his two trophy fish from the dive, preserving the memory of that epic day of spearfishing for the rest of time.
The Kumu (Whitesaddle Goatfish) was butterflied open and all of the fins/bones were removed. We then created a delicious Mentaiko Alfredo Pasta, topped with the crispy-skin Kumu and a Shiso Pesto Sauce.
