Your vid would be better with some sound. Just a quick tip; if you can get your hands on some "monel" SS wire ( used for leader or electric commercial fishing down riggers) lube the inside of the ends of the rubber (dish soap, spit...) then slip the wishbone end in. a little dish soap around the rubber, then take the monel and wrap it twice around the rubber, then with a pair of pliers pull and twist your done, remember not to twist it to tight that it cuts into the rubber. Take the cut end and bend it backwards and turn it into the rubber ( if band slips with wire the other way you'll get a nice slice on your pinkie ) All the quotes on gun size are bull- - - t. I worked out of Key West and spearfished commercially for years throughout the Gulf of Mexico, Cay Sal Banks Bahamas and the northern Bahamas to Ft. Pierce. All we used back then was Arballette Specials their about 3' long with a 4" shaft, we shot thousands of pounds of fish, hundreds of 60 to 110 lb Black Grouper along with 250 to 300 lp. Jew Fish. I only used one loop of cord or shot free shaft with no cord ( all with SCUBA no free diving) just know that the gun you have can take almost anything down, it's all in where you place the shot. If you want to improve your accuracy try shooting without a point where you have to get kill shots, it'll make a better shooter. Also I never used crimps, tied a knot, burned the end of the cord and soaked the knot with nail polish let it dry and you can't take the know apart.

what do you call the black metal that was crimped by the crimping pliers? the one that locks the end of the wire?

I've shot pleanty Halibut with this gun. Crappola crimps and all even a few small white sea bass. I'm going to take this goldfish gun and blast a yellowtail or dorado this summer. If the crimps fail I'll be back and to say "You were right" but until then enjoy the video for what it is and dont be such a downer.

Has anybody try to use zip ties or other method to secure the wishbone?
