@statslectures I meant that the X & Y scores n the tables that you rank their values are not the ones plotted in the scatter diagram, right? - i'm just asking
The formula.... you got it wrong !! It is Pearson Formula, not Spearman. The results is correct but the formula is wrong, also Spearman Correlation use d and d square, not XY.
Actually, if there are no ties and the ranks are used in the Pearson formula calculation instead of the raw data, the result is algebraically equivalent to Spearman’s rank formula.
they are called "ranking", basically, just sort the value and the 1-6 is the order. E.g if the value of x is 0.1, 0.3, 0.2 then your order will be 1,3,2
+Dian Zhang,Hey Sir, is there a way in which we can link the function to new data and find automatically the solution? i.e ranking helps to know the order of original number and in case we have a lot of data replacing corresponding data manually is not handy
@@terefeadugna9797 In continuation to the question,In spearman does it mean that X and Y just needs to be ranked for the given data, for eg if X is 22,32,42,11 and after ranking X would be 11,22,32,42 ??
