It’s an incredibly boring spec. It’s something in expect an older man to order. I guess if you have to buy a car to play the game you build one which is as vanilla and easy to offload quickly as possible.
@@MasterChief37 how is it boring? i suppose you are one of those people who would prefer a chrome purple wrapped one with 4d plates? all will start to make sense when you make it past your 13th birthday, chuck.
@@21sled He will not the the LaF successor. People were informed about those allocations over the past month, and the car will be shown to them at Le Mans in two weeks.
@@user-w29vfwh59vd i go to the cinema to eat popcorn. We all know how ferrari works and there is no shame in buying ferraris to get the special ones he should be honest to himself and the viewers.
@@sebastianjo752 I know this and I'm not shaming Shmee for doing what Ferrari requires to get the allocation. I support him and I want him to be able to buy a special series Ferrari. It's just a bit funny the way he presents it.
@@MasterChief37Ford has to select him like the Ford GT, he can't walk into a showroom and buy that car unless he wants a preowned car and Ford will have no resale clause for one or two years, so a preowned car is out of scope for the moment.
Better sale value one day. It's better to be safe with a spec if it's not a permanent car then choose something very bold that would end up in a showroom for ages.
Kind of reminds me of the style of David Lee that decides on collecting a complete set of Ferraris in a certain color. Only thing is at one point in time he'll keep them all, I'm guessing ..
I like the more relaxed vibe from this video. It’s wild how realistic the car spec viewer looks, especially compared to past Ferrari’s you have speced. Good color choice. I am on team black wheels, emblem, etc, but can appreciate that you enjoy silver. You usually create very smart specs.
It's a shame they don't have the materials matching colours, the paint, roof, leather and carpet are all different blues, the roof should be either the same colour as the paint or black imo
If you go TM, anything is possible. Even if you just go Atelier, there are a lot more interior colours to choose from. But as Tim has said, it is not a keeper. Furthermore, it is really hard to get interior and exterior to match exactly. So you are better off making them different. If they are too close, but not on point, they clash.
19:55 - because I need to be able to sell it in a year to help me pay for the sf90xx. 😁 We see your foresight and careful planning Tim. You're very smart. Well done!
Yes a red Ferrari will always be more desirable. But a blue Ferrari is still quite up there especially in the spec he chose. I'd argue that a Roma in Blu Corsa is much more resellable than in British Green or matte orange for example. I believe Shmee's STO couldn't find a buyer for quite a while because it was in a crazy colour that didn't please many. He obviously learned from that and since he probably doesn't plan on keeping the Roma for too long he chose a colour spec that would be easier to sell but also one that he likes. Hence the blue which is close to his channel's theme.
Unfortunately the world we live in means that if you do a daring spec on a car that you will one day sell, you lose more money on it and find it harder to sell. Whether that's in 1 year or 10, ultimately you'd pay more for it now, and sell it for less then, so it's a silly move other than on something you know you want to keep.
@@Shmee150Tim…yesterday I saw a new Taycan 4S in the very rare metallic pink shade with Arun gold wheels…it actually worked quite well but imagine trying to sell that in a years time! Your specification is reserved and resaleable….for me it is a bit cold and not really for me but it is correct for resale…well done though…a lovely car! 😀😀😀😀
@@BombSponge He's spec'ing it so that it's more sellable down the line. He even hit on this in the comments. Not to mention, it's his car/money. You having a gripe about that makes no sense lol. It'll literally never affect you.
@@BombSponge "Just saying facts" Typically you have to be correct to be saying facts. Sorry bud but Tim literally confirmed my point elsewhere in the comments. Think I'm gonna trust the dude who's making the purchase over some random kid who gets up in arms about how strangers spend their money. Being easily sellable down the line has nothing to do with how much money he's gaining or losing. It's literally only about how easy it is to find an interested new owner.
Tim I like the specs, thanks to you I started to appreciate a little bit more the essence of the Roma. My brother has been invited to a track day to ride the 296 GTB last weekend and he remained impressed from the car. I think you’re doing right to collect all these brand new model, to enjoy first of their different character and second, to enter in the “VIP list” of Ferrari to be able then to buy some of their limited edition models coming up. Have you ever thought about visiting Mr.Lee to make a review of his Ferrari collection? That would be nice to share with us, especially to hear your point of views about the evolution of the brand during the years. Cheers
Tim, that is so stunning!!! I can not wait for this to arrive. The color combo is stellar. Ignore the haters about blue. It’s unique and different, if they want a different color they can buy their own Ferrari 😆
Front grille on a Roma is similar in design to Smart Fortwo 453 petrol model. On a Smart, grille can come as standard as contrast colour. Only other difference between the two vehicles is the Smart is rear engined for sportier handling :)
And WHY is Tim playing the Ferrari game? It's because he tried this game with Porsche to get a GT3 RS & despite having the Cayman GT4 & the Taycan EV, he didn't get the GT3 3RS allocation. So now he doesn't have a Porsche in the garage collection (apart from the old restoration project).
@@Shmee150Please do it, everyone is just that Ferrari does this and that. Let the world know about Porsche dealers as well and Mark McCann did a very good job.
I’m so glad you’re going with blueee!!! I love when you choose blue cause blues looks good on any car & I love how u e want everything to be the shhmuseum them
Just about to pick up my Roma Spider next week. Its just arrived at the dealer, Azzuro Monaco very similar to yours a bit lighter blue, I've gone for crema lower cabin, Zucherro top cabin and daytona stripes, lighter blue cavalinos and piping . Yellow calipers and badges. Looks good!
whilst plying a rural lane we saw a Triumph spitfire in Tahiti blue the chrome glisten so proud. With Peral white interior The tejas display Roma dignified not too busy pinstriping. the seats. a Porsche hound's-tooth blue was so classic sometimes you get too busy but we arent a major monochrome plain. But your unitity in Blues w the Aluminium wheel brake and symbol stich is great love the blue top
Tim has come a long way! He actually just said a Ferrari! I don't have to worry about! Different level of wealth and success now Shmeeeeee, congratulations even if i don't watch all your videos 🎉
Love the spec! There is only one detail I would change, yellow calipers to compliment the yellow badges. For me, it is too much silver with silver wheels. Other than that a beautiful spec!
Great colour choice Tim! Dark green would have been nice too, I saw a coupe here in the Netherlands last year, but hé blue is also intertwined with your branding 😉 looking forward to your first ride and some other projects!
So many beautiful colors and again blue one…..as long as you are happy but I would have taken something else but good luck and save kilometers whit it Tim 💙
Amazing Spec, me personally would go with the diamond cut silver wheels, but nonetheless a great spec, especially the tasteful interior, congrats Tim !!!
I always love seeing the haters so upset in the comments. Hey, guys... BLUE IS HIS FAVORITE COLOR. If you were in his place, youd probably favor speccing cars in your favorite color as well.
Just casually drops in the SF90XX is incoming. Really love the spec but is that really the best wheel design they could come up with? Just doesn't go with the lines of the car at all, if that's the only design in be immediately going after market for nicer design or nicking them off a new Maserati as they're getting it right.
Che meraviglia. Where I was born and grew up with an Australian father who worked for UN. I drove a Fiat X-1/9 there. Would be nice to drive a blue Ferrari Roma Spider. Also congratulations on your Italian pronunciation. Bravo.
Have to be honest , not usually a fan of Tim’s colour choices , tbh I like Ferraris in Red but this colour is growing on me, but I like the subtle hint of gold shade on the M1. I wonder if Tim is looking at the Daytona
Honestly the best for resale is to go super generic; like Rosso Corsa, or maybe Nero Daytona, and just give it a black interior. It's stupid to pay for custom leathers, stitching and interior stuff if you're purely playing the resale game.
I've gotta feeling ferrari are making you buy this model in order to get on a list for a more exclusive model. A petrol head has to do what a petrol head has to to do. Can't wait to see THAT model in your collection shmee!😊😊😊
Instead of having white piping on your seats, & around the car, why not be adventurous for a change and have something like electric blue piping? I think it'd look great.
Appreciate you’re building the Ferrari collection so that you can get allocations for the more limited cars, just a shame you can’t talk about the negatives of the cars cos you’ve got to keep Ferrari sweet
@@khel9505If the production number is more than the LaFerrari production number (it will be more) then LaFerrari owners will get first priority, followed other vip customers.
Let me show me the car I don’t want but have been hoodwinked into buying in order to get the car I really want. How many more do you have to buy before we find out what you really want.
Beautiful colour on the exterior. Callipers and rims are also a good fit. But with that spec the interior must be crema, with navy piping to add some blue contrast.
13:43 min - quite frankly Shmee, considering how much this car looks like the OLD DB11 and the DB12 is such a BIG improvement, I'd spec a DB12 convertible instead. 🇬🇧 😉👍
Your speech and knowledge about the cars, not mentioning that you know the colors from them is impressive... Do you take these videos in one tako or do you have outtakes, if so, it would be fun to see them maybe ones per month. 😉
Taking a look at a car finder seeing old colours not offered the same exterior or interior. without bespoken paints like the Aston suv green we miss emerald green and oat..but candy apple red w buckskin was our fav sport coupe. the white black summer over black holding heat so we enjoyed burgundy and velour reds.. Roma looks great in Spyder.
