Oh, Nell! It sounds PERFECT! Someday, I’ll get to go. I’ve taken my kids to Disneyland several times on a budget, years ago. Have a WONDERFUL time. Super jealous. Sally in Northern California 😁😷
Disney is the best. My dad worked for the company that poured the original parking lot for Disneyland back in 1955. My son and daughter-in-law got engaged at Disneyland in 2009. So Disney holds a special place in my heart. Enjoy to the fullest.
You are making me miss the food of Disney, I love the Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe, I have eaten in the main ball room at Be Our Guest...we were there for lunch you just went in and picked your own seats. I have had dinner at the Brown Derby and it was so good. You are going to love these places.
The drive-in at studios is the scifi diner. It's one of my favs. When I ate at be our guest we ate in the ballroom. And it's pretty to watch the snow fall out the windows. When it comes to straws they have gotten rid of all plastic ones so if you do get a straw or ask for one they are the paper ones. Another tip I really recommend is extra face coverings. With the humidity they can tend to get very uncomfy and damp so putting a fresh one on can make you feel so much better. I hope you have a great anniversary trip.
I’m excited for you! We will be there on May 24th. We went to Disney World for the first time in 1980 before EPCOT was built. The 24th is my 60th birthday. It is a blast to go on a adult trip to Disney. Enjoy!
Hello Nell, I have a question regarding Aida; I like using Aida 14 count fabric; I have just purchased the "Button Up' pattern by P. Schooler - which is a winter pattern/chart. There are parts of the background/Aida that will not be stitched on... which will end up being the 'sky' portion... Because there is quite a bit of White Floss used for the snow, I am afraid that if I use White Aida, the snow will be lost... I considered Oatmeal, but not sure if that would 'work' as the sky... as it is beige...Could you please suggest a grey or other color, that would work for this project? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Great video and tips. You forgot to say "wear good walking shoes". I've spent up to 17 hours at the Magic Kingdom in one day, so comfy, supportive shoes are a must. I had lunch at Be Our Guest in the Ballroom. It was lovely. Have a great time and Happy Anniversary!
Sounds like a wonderful trip! So excited for you. I'm sharing this video with my kids as we are planning a family reunion in the Florida Disney parks in 2022.
Thank you so much for the tips. We are headed there at the end of September. Please report back on your fav restaurant experience. I want to do Be Our Guest but it seems a bit pricey for what you get. The restaurant in Canada at Epcot sounds good as well. Enjoy every minute 👍🏻🏰🌈!
I’ve never been to a Disney park and never likely to go but I found this fascinating! You’re clearly extremely excited, Nell - and I hope you’ll both have a wonderful time. You seem to have everything very well organised.
I have been to Disney several times. I love epcott. I am a foodie. You have to give us an update. I am watching on mothers day and I think you left Disney today 🌻🌻
Disney not really my thing (I've been to Disneyland Paris but I think it is a poor relation of US parks 😆) but I love seeing everyone else's trips and loved hearing about all your plans. Can't wait to see all your pics 😍
I get it. We celebrated our 50th there. My first time was at 14 in Disneyland. I still love it at 74. We have an annual pass. Our friends think we are nuts. ❤️. Have lots of fun
Have so much fun! We went in September of 2019 and also ate at Be our Guest. The West Wing was really dark and it was kind of hard to see our food but we did have our boys with us so it makes it harder taking care of someone else. I’m also pretty sure the monorail isn’t running at the Polynesian at the moment. They’re redoing the platform I believe. I’d hate for you to get there and only then find out.
I'm so jealous I I love Disney. I haven't been to WDW in years. My favorite ride is Spaceship Earth in Epcot. Do you scrapbook? I'd love to see your scrapbook layouts if you do that. Hope you have a fantastic trip! Have a Mickey Bar for me!
My husband proposed at Disney and we went for our honeymoon too. We wanted to go back for our 5 year anniversary but, Covid. You make me really want to go back!
Do you have to dress for dinner at these restaurants? I am wondering if you need to go back to your hotel after your day in the park and change your clothes before you eat?
I grew up with Disneyland ! We went all the time only because our neighbor"s dad had donated his collection of guns that were show cased in Frontier Land . So his wife could get 2 or 3 adults in free and unlimited tickets (no ABC tickets ). We also went when ever it was firemens day because my uncle worked for LA county Fire department , so we were blessed to be able to go when ever we wanted to. We did get to meet Walt Disney once . Hope you had a great time .
