In this free training replay from our Mrs. D's VIPs Facebook group, I am going to share with you how I keep all of the special education paperwork and things organized!
• All things you see are linked here: www.teacherspa...
• Free IEP Writing Timeline: intentionaliep...
• IEP Toolkit: www.theintenti...
Remember: what works for me, may not work for you! But that doesn't mean you can't take what you've learned in this training and adapt it to best fit the needs of your classroom.

I found this video so helpful. I am starting my teaching journey (I was a para for about 10 years) and going from being a para to being a resource teacher is an entirely new world.

This was sooooooooo helpful! Thank you so much for sharing. Data collection can be a bit overwhelming. I feel like my program didn't prep me enough for this as well as I've seen the lazier side of teachers just not collecting data. So it's been hard to figure out and pick up as I go into own future classroom. Really appreciate this!

Me too. My admin surprised me with a reassignment to a self contained, inclusive, 2/3 core in which 17 out of 20 students have high needs (with academic and behavioural IEPs). I will only have 1 EA so I am trying to figure out how to organize for a safe, successful and positive start to the new academic year…..

Hi Stephanie: May you please direct me to a video that teaches/ guides a first time special education teacher in using the summer to prepare for a smooth start to their first year? This would be so helpful! I feel a bit lost and overwhelmed! I have been going through your video playlists and products and started a to do list but want to ensure that my time is used efficiently to prep for the first few months. Thank you for all you do. ❤

So do you start with something else before you do the data rings?

I collect the majority of data on sticky notes, and then transfer those data points to the data rings. I teach this method inside the Intentional Data Collection course inside The Intentional IEP membership.

How do you suggest tracking data when you are a high school special education teacher where you won’t be able to sit with the kid and track progress and there’s no cohesive way to collect data, outside of grades? For example, I might be the case manager for a student that has an English-related goal, but I have them in math.
