Last weekend, we attended an awesome creature and special effects convention: Monsterpalooza. We met sculptors, painters, animatronics designers, makeup artists, and creature geeks showing off their latest projects. Here's some of the coolest stuff we saw on the show floor!

The Sqoou Well you see, Blinking is the process of closing and opening back up your eyelids to moisten your eyes, which keeps them from drying out, and occurs most often when staring.

How come Hollywood, does not do a remake of "The Creature of the Black Lagoon"? With all the awesome special effects artiest out there they could do great job. They have done so many remakes, Frankenstein, Wolfman, The Mummy, Dracula? I guess when I was very young I seen that Movie and just really got me.. Be great to see a remake some time.. Thanks.. Ethan Gordon The problem is, to go to some long-distance conventions, you have to drive for several days, or fly for several hours, and book a hotel room for the 2-days you're there, and go back home.

EJ Matson who the hell does that unless it’s for business purposes? There are tons of conventions annually in every state. If you’re going to sell or be a guest it makes sense, but otherwise it’s a bit mad to fly anywhere other than SDCC or NYCC
