Billy Garvey you must be new to RU-vid. They don’t make as much as you believe (high views mean nothing anymore unlike when RU-vid started.. this video over the 4-5 years it’s been out has made $1K or so which is like 1 tank of gas a month over that time). And people like to support channels so they can continue putting out content.

If you don't honor a chart as written then you're not playing the piece correctly. The composer of the said music should be respected even if the individual performer does not like the set instructions. To dumb things down as far as possible then remember this, "music has never been multiple choice."
the shake and vibrato ought to actually be controlled by your diaphragm more than anything. the actual use of hands is the easiest way to manipulate a shake, and lips second easiest. diaphragm control can be difficult to learn for players not used to breathing from their diaphragm in the first place. but to simply explain, when you inhale into your diaphragm your belly should expand. the rule of thumb for breath control is to pay attention to what your shoulders are doing. they should not move or rise and tighten. practice makes perfect. and is the one exception to that saying about doing the same thing and expecting different results is Insanity. practice, practice practice, and practice good technique and you will get different results, you'll get better...lol see, that's the one exception...I always point that our in my drug rehab meetings.

There's a nice descent in the "Infernal Dance" of Igor Stravinsky's "The Firebird". Pizzicato notes played in fifths by the strings also is accompanied by flutter tonguing of the trumpet.

Don't play brass myself but this perfectly answered my question of merely trying to figure out what's going on at the beginning of Thank You Scientist's track Gigglebutton, to which I googled "brass trill" out of not knowing what to search for exactly and boom there it is. I'm in a middle school band and my teacher let us play around with our instruments. I was making random noises on my trumpet and did the flutter and I was like what the hell . . . And now I'm paying in the Jazz section.

This is great, but in my 44 years of playing I've never been able to do the flutter tongue. Just can't get it, LOL. BUT I do growls and such using the gargle method without using my voice or humming into the horn. I can do that of course,(make harmonies,etc. ala Bill Watrous,heh) but for the growls gargling is easier for me,heh.
You move a little faast for beginners, but you should be teaching on the college level. It's been a long time since I played, but you have inspired me.
The way I found is through whistling. Can you whistle and and shake the note? Its the easiest way because you aren't distracting your mouth with the buzz, just find the way to trill you whistling and feel how your tongue moves, then apply it to the trumpet. It may feel like a very slow shake at first but you need to start slow. Also work on your lip slurs. (btw it is easier in the upper register due to closer partials) Good Luck!
