he’s my first guitar hero, I remember before I used to learn guitar but it’s long time ago, then I quit but now when I’m saw him play guitar, I decide to comeback and learn guitar again, don’t know why no reason, I’m only want to be as good as him, I’m start to learn guitar when I’m become Richie’s fans, eventhough it’s not very good, like I said I’m still learning,
I thought Randy Rhoads is still reborn!!! Amazing solos, killer sound - the heritage of Tony Iommi and all other heroes is still save for a long time...
Like back in the 80's Alex Ferguson destined for Man Utd who already had a fantastic history - Faulkner was destined for Priest and make his own mark - love the history, but Richie has woken me up again - Thank you!!!
JP, making all the right moves, I loved KK, but there were moments when I saw them at the IZOD Center, when it was clear Richie F., was not only up to the task, but adding so much to the songs on his own, I'm just wishing for more live shows, somehow.
its like listening to randy rhoads ,,,am a huge rr fan ,,,and i am so in love with this guitar sound ,,,i think judas priest shoud go in the studio and deliver a screaming for vengeance style album that really satisfied us ,,,the real jp fans over this 30 something years ,,one very last killer album before saying goodbye,,,and let this guy ritchie lett loose ,,cant wait,,, congrats to such a good guitarrist
He says himself his style is inspired by Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Dave Murray and others. and says it's no secret and that you can hear those influences in his soloing. :D
Saw Judas priest and Saxon sometime back a couple of years and got to say "I really like Richie Faulkner playing abilities I got second row at the family arena kicked ass...
me impresiono demasiado cuando lo vi en monterrey Richie lo que mas me impresiona es el picking tan descarado que utiliza y la uña que me regalo de calibre super grueso con su nombre y el monito de star wars me a inspirado a tocar mejor la guitarra :)
I'm not a fan of Judas Priest... But Faulkner? He is up there with the best guitarist, everybody has their own opinions. But that's not an opinion that's a fact.
Andres, that specific solo was done during the song, "You've got another thing comin'" It was also specifically done in the "Epitaph" program shown on tv......You-Tube it...it is awesome, but I personally am old school....I prefer K.K. Check out songs like "Problem Child", "The Sinner" or "Victim of Changes" to see what Mr Downing can do. I would recommend live performances...perhaps something off of "Unleashed in the East" or something from the 1983 "US Festival"...let me know how u make out
Pretty sure it's part of the solo for Victim of Changes. The thing about Richie is he does a lot changing of his solos from show to show, which I think is really cool, it's not a big change, but he just goes with the flow.
NO KK IN THE BAND IS NOT THE SAME. LIKE AN APPLE PAY WITH BANANAS BECAUSE APPLES ARE NOT AVAILABLE. BANANAS ARE GOOD BUT WONT TASTE LIKE APPLE. JUDAS WONT SOUND 100% JUDAS ANYMORE.
