Love my H390 ❤ this setting change is great. So if i lock the volume level to maybe 75 and turn on USB volume control; would i be safe from exceeding the limiter set on the console while changing volume on the usb device? Thank you again 😊
HegelMusicSystem Of course, all ok. Im speculating on adding A H90 to my 5.1 home Theater. AVR is A Marantz SR7011 so A Marantz PM8006 is also an option. Is the H90 as easy to integrate as poweramp?
@@CostJensen Cool, and yes it is. The only thing you need to do is to select the input on the H90 to be a home Theater pass through. Very easy to do in the menu.
I have A Hegel H390, Chord BLU CD Transport, and DAVE DAC. My understanding is, 1. activate the DAC Loop within Hegel. 2. Connect the BLU & DAVE via Dual BNC and XLR out of DAVE to Hegel. My question is. Hegel says to also connect it via Digital out BNC to the DAC. Did you really have to do this as well? I just can't follow the reasoning for the additional connection.
Please explain why the volume range sounds different now. I used to listen at 45, now it requires 55 to sound the same. H190 2021 firmware before roon ready update. I keep notes and this is one thing I noticed. I would like to rollback to previous firmware.
What does it mean / how to correct, if one cannot access the menus by holding down the upper 'PLAY' button? Also, I'm unable to cycle the display using the 'DISP' button. All other functions seem to work OK. I'm a bit perplexed. I would appreciate any help in resolving this.
Hi. That is a known problem with a few remote controls. So the fix is easiest if you manage to borrow another Hegel remote from your dealer and run a software update on your amp. After the update your own remote will function 100% again for all features
@@HegelMusicSystem Thanks! I was able to contact Hegel in Norway and they provided instructions for updating the firmware. Then all worked as designed.
Hello there. It once happened that I press and hold "Dac+" Button for more than 3 sec. And It had showed "048" on left side of my Hegel h 300 display. When I did it again "000" was displayed. It wasn't on purpose in the first place. Does it mean anything? I was afraid that I did something wrong by changing some settings. Please enlight me
Hi just double checking that it is still the case that RC8 is needed? Would the remote that ships with H95 work? I think it's the RC10. It has the DAC and volume buttons.
Hi I’m having problems with the steamer on my Hegel H120 . Keeps dropping out and won’t reconnect to play music to my iPhone Spotify app even though the amplifier connects to the H120 and still automatically switches to network but there’s no sound? Only way to fix this is too manually turn it off at the wall which is a bit annoying.
Hi. Sorry to hear about your problems. The first thing I would do is to look for firmware updates in the menu of the amp. You can find out how to do that on support.hegel.com. That is easier than me explaining here. If it still doesn't work, I would send an email to info@hegel.com and we will try to help. That is a lot better than the comment section on RU-vid as it will be much easier to help you well through that. The responses there are not slower than here.
This is not working for me. How do I set the startup volume to 40 on an H95? Why do I need another remote? This is silly. I would rather it stay at the volume I left it on.
@@aweidenhammer Oh. Sorry. I thought you were requesting a feature. Fact is thst currently you do need the RC8 remote to set start up volume. We hope to allow this setting via the menu at a later time.
@@HegelMusicSystem ok, I guess I have to order the magic remote that either should have come with my 2000 dollar amp, or I borrow one from the dealer, all because there isn't an option on the amp? That feels broken to me. I have Maggie LRSs hooked up to this. When it starts at 20, my family thinks sound isn't working so they start changing inputs and turning on the TV sound. It's quite an annoying "feature".
Hello, this probably is a dumn question but how i connect a cd player and use the dac of the cd player? I connected thru the analog imputs but do i have to Dac Loop the amplifier? I ask this because i dont like the internal dac of the Hegel H360. Thank you
Sorry for the slow response. That is actually a really good question. We haven't tested that so the answer is we don't know. It depends if the Auralic accepts one way volume commands over the classic USB HID protocol
Hello, I am demo’ing a 190 and I see that the HT bypass is set to 85. This is way too low as I have to go into my AVR level settings and turn the levels of the L&R fronts up to +8 to reach 75dB on my sound meter. I thought AV Bypass meant the 190 would go to full power (99 or 100). Is this correct and can I make it higher?
@@HegelMusicSystem Thank you very much. In that case I will return this 190 demo model and wait for a possible update. It’s a shame as the 190 is the best-sounding integrated I have ever used. Can you help me with one question please? As I cannot get my front L&R to 75dB using the 190 in HT mode, would it be OK to set all my speaker levels so they show 68 on the sound meter? Or would the quality of sound suffer? Thank you.
@@HegelMusicSystem I know I can set any channel to 99 manually, the problem being it will stay at that when I change inputs. Is there a way to set different volumes on different inputs? That way I could listen to a CD player going into Analog One and then my AVR going into an HT input with the volume already set to 99. If not, that’s fine but these ideas would be perfect in a future software update. If the 190 had these facilities, as well as an option to rename inputs I would buy it like a shot!
Спросил в поддержке Hegel. Вот ответ: Please note that changing star volume requires the RC8 remote, this is not possible with the RC10. Так что вопрос в пульте, а не модели усилителя.
@@lucianomilioli6862 I understand. The reason is that the H200 has a completely different and older type of operating system from before we started writing it ourselves. I think it was originally made in 2005, the first H200s. So it was impossible to incorporate this later. Sorry for the dissapointment. The H200 is still a really good amplifier though
Hi Sergio. You do the same thing with the H90. You go to the menu using the big play button in the center. The only thing you can't do is to set start up volume and Max volume. To do that you need the big remote.
@@tonyexpert9386 Yes I know. It is on the list trying to enable the setting from the menu on the current amplifiers. But we have been a bit too busy lately.
@@HegelMusicSystem Yes please, work on it ! Very dangerous not having this options as it is very easy to make accidental manipulation on the phone to control the hegel. Thank you!
We had it under review: www.lite-magazin.de/2018/01/hegel-h190-high-end-kraftwerk-fuer-digitales-streaming-und-analogen-bestklang/ (also in english language).
The reason probably doesn't help your decision. But it is because it would either reduce the Sound performance (If you use it or not) or increase the price quite a bit.
@@HegelMusicSystem If an amp has a pure direct switch then it should not adversely effect the sound for those that choose to listen in pure direct, not much anyway. I get the no tone control logic but it’s not for me, and I think increasingly not for many users. Music is recorded in a whole variety of quality and tonality, tone controls are needed to make those 80% of albums more listenable. Tone controls are also invaluable for those that love music and gear yet have some hearing issues in the middle or inner ear.
@@aussie8114 Thank you. That is very good input and I will take it further. We do understand the need for some so it is an ongoing debate. Have a great day.
Hi Paulo. Sorry for the slow response. Thank you for noticing. 10 seconds is supposed to be enough, but as a security measure we have written 30 seconds in the manual and on the website
I had a problem 3 weeks back on the output of the power stage of my Hegel H200. The real issue is they don't provide the parts for fixing or even the diagrams/specs for repair. I will try to repair anyway, as the sound quality is great.
Great video for people who can cough uo $11,000 usd for int amp... for the other 99%... including me... any of these tech marvels work with the H90... only $2000.... got to come clean hear( )... if I have a life where I can spend $2000 usd... and I can...I don't have a clue either... and am leaving 96% in my dust.... 'A privilege by birth... not earned!!!" '
Yes, many of them can. The only function that is limited to the two largest amps (H390 and H590) is the option to set "USB Volume". All the others works with the H90 too. One challenge, though is the setting of max volume and start-up volume. This requires the more fancy metal RC8 remote. Usually retailing at under USD 200, but most often you could just visit your dealer. He should have one and set it for you. I know many do this to save the money.
