Fun story bout me that literally nobody asked for: so this was Dec 2014 and i was 11. i turned on the TV in my apartment and saw this big holiday special of a show called the sing-off that I'd never heard of. When i put it on i saw that Patrick Stump was a judge and 11 year old me was a huge FOB fan (still am but less now) so i was like "sure I'll watch this. i got time" so i put it on. immediately was astounded from the opening performance like "dang these people can sing" got invested in all 6 groups and started picking a favorite to win (picked the Melodores at round 1 :D) and then during the halfway break, they were like 'ok here's the season three winners here to perform' and i was like "oh coooool" so i listened, immediately fell in love with all five of them. It was an instant connection. I loved the vibe, the members, the voices like UgH why are they so good (i especially fell in love with Mitch and still am) and so that happened, i watched the rest of the special and that was that. later that day i decided to investigate into this mysterious band further. I listened to their legendary Daft Punk Medley and fell further. I immersed myself in all of their interviews, Q&A's and performances, grew to learn all the lore I could about them and here I am over 6 years later at 17 years old. They're still my absolute favorite band, Mitch Grassi is my favorite singer on the planet, and i listen to their music on repeat every couple of months for a month or so. All came from me deciding to watch Patrick Stump judge an a capella competition. ok sorry no one asked and no one will see this so bye 🥰

In response to the uploader, I think they chose to do their Christmas medley, first of all because it was The Sing-Off "Holiday" Spectacular and because of how popular and successful their Christmas album is. I'm not sure when this was filmed but by the time it aired, That's Christmas To Me was just shy of going Platinum.

im rewatching again and i have to say that i LOVE how much kirstin is featured in this arrangement as opposed to during their orignal sing off performances damn they have all gotten so much better

I wish there was a way to find out what the 3 judges think of them now. They went from winning the sing off and $200 grand. To a combined net woth now of over $80 million. Simply amazing.

Yes sadly the sing off was cancelled but i mean I don’t blame them. When they crowned PTX as winners in season 3 and saw all their amazing success after that my thought is “why bring it back? PTX already brought acapella to the mainstream and that’s what they wanted. Honestly there will never ever be another acapella group like ‘Pentatonix’. Yes if the Sing Off ever comes back I’ll watch it but I won’t be as amused or excited to see what the contestants bring anymore. I already saw EVERYTHING with PTX.

*Nick* "How does it feel being... back on this stage?" *What Scott was thinking* Y'know nick, its really satisfying because these no good Sony Music ragamuffins had absolutely no damn confidence in us and we just proved we're the best a capella group to ever win this competition, so it's great to be back.

Being able to sing their own song at 2:26 in the competition with which they emerged victorious from is without doubt epic. That must have been a really happy and amazing moment for them. For me it was like they're saying to the contestants in the competition "Yeah this is how it's done bitches!" LOL Pentatonix is just simply amazing

Thank god the Sing Off always balances their mikes correctly. They're like the only show that does justice to the sound of PTX/ I'm so glad they didn't only do Santa Clause is Coming to Town. They did that during their performance at Rockfeller, and I have to say that out of all the songs on their album, that one is their weakest. So I was very happy to hear them mix it up with Hark the Herald and That's Christmas to Me (one of the most beautiful Christmas songs to date). Thanks so much for uploading, as always. As a request: could you upload the Home Free performance too? I missed seeing that one on TV

I think 99.9% of us can agree that this was an amazing performance (myself included). Singing my whole life has taught me to truly appreciate Pentatonix even more. If the average person understood just how difficult some of the stuff they are doing to pull off is... the would like this group x100. I'd much rather this stuff be on the radio than all the same chopped up mishmashed shit that is on these days. These folks individually have a ton of talent, but together they are pure magic. Whoever put this group together is not only a genius but incredibly lucky. This is one of these best groups ever to make music on planet earth.

They're kind of unnatural, aren't they? Sometimes I'm just watching them and thinking that it's like they've been put together for a movie or something and it's not really these five people singing live - carefully chosen actors with a highly edited soundtrack added on later. They're _too_ good. Damn you Glee!
