* Until 9:30 PM EDT.
* At 8:35 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Upper New York Harbor to near Keansburg to 8 nm south of Cliffwood Beach, moving east at 40 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves.
* Severe thunderstorms will be near... Sandy Hook Bay, Jamaica Bay, Lower New York Harbor, and Rockaway Inlet around 8:40 PM EDT. Barnum Island, Entrance to New York Harbor, and Island Park around 8:55 PM EDT. Jones Inlet and Middle Bay around 9:00 PM EDT. Jones Beach around 9:10 PM EDT.
