The guy's doing a great job of making the best of his situation. His date is a sweet girl who helped give him what will probably be the best night of his life, and she had fun too, plus knew she was being the very definition of a sweetheart. God bless them both.
She's not only a sweet person she just wanted to get to know him better and I just wish all teenagers will do the same but they don't they just reject and see the different rather than the character and his character is truly sweet.
Having worked in a kitchen with a few persons with down syndrome as aides, i can vouch for their hard working, aiming to please others, filled with joy personalities. Best kitchen aides i ever had! but be sure to teach them the tasks perfectly, because they will mimmick everything you've shown them to a tee, exactly as you've shown them.
A remarkable Young man. Team captain and getting a pretty girl, now that's a great young lad with class. This Young man is an example of how far You can get when You can just be Yourself and feel accepted for who You are. It's honestly truly sad when they see pretty people with disabled people they just begin to think immediately that that pretty person especially this girl right here is doing stuff for the pity she's not doing it for the pity she just wants to make this mans night and wants to know him more and she probably still talks to him I don't know what's wrong with people on the internet these people rather be talking crap because something about a pretty woman being with a disabled person is out of place my generation is truly stupid not all but some.

@@pmillyrock nobody cares about your comment how about you strap yourself into a wheelchair and stay that way for 10 days it is a challenge and then you'll see how people with disabilities cannot move because their limbs are like tied to a chair not with actual ropes but in your body it's like you can't move at all because you're stuck to that chair so how about you put yourself in one and then you'll be really glad you weren't born that way like us you don't know what we've been through we've been through mental hospitals and now the the disabilities Rights act of 1978 and now we're at this point where our generation just doesn't know how to be respectful towards us show some respect bruh.

It is nice of her I'm really glad there's a wholesome person like her around we need more people like that but honestly lots of people are making fun of her and him they're saying that a pretty person does not go with a disabled person that does not match it don't matter if the person's pretty while dating a person with Down syndrome she's allowed to date whoever she wants and she's allowed to take whoever the heck she wants to prom I hope people will wake up and see that what they say can make a bad impact on a person and could ruin their self-esteem.

Oh my goodness they don't do that just to make themselves a hero they do it because they actually wanted to go with them! I invited my bestest friend to the night to shine prom this year and she immediately said yes and she genuinely want to go with me and she absolutely had the BESTEST time so think about that!

It's not done out of pity I'm a disabled person too and to know that he went to prom and he had a good time was the best I feel happy for him we should all feel happy for him I don't know why people are making up these assumptions I don't know why people think this is done out of pity like just because you see a pretty girl out of place doesn't mean she's a person who doesn't care for disabled people she just wants to know them and that's the same way with me since I'm disabled I love to know everybody around me I explore around me I observe around me but it was not done out of pity so just because you see a pretty girl on TV doesn't mean it's pity stop seeing pretty girls on TV as pity it may be hard sometimes to know who wants pity from others and who does not want pity when they're pretty but still she has a bright personality and I think you just don't see that I hope you will think twice and think about what you said people on the Internet are truly disgusting people not all but some people who want to be followers of disgusting people and thinking this is cool to say no it is not. 😡

Okay this is what's getting me yes she did look but she was also trying to look at the person taking photos because reporters just like to take photos of couples like her and him but I don't know why people think it's done out of pity just because a girl is pretty and seems out of place with a disabled person doesn't mean she's doing it for the pity she's doing it to know him better and even with cameras in her face it would make it seem like she wants pity but it's not her fault it's basically the news crew there always wanting to know the cutest stories with disabled people going out to prom with normal abled people like me I'm a disabled person too and I just love making new friends it don't matter if the person is disabled or not disabled I would still love to be their friend.

That said, I can't face watching this video again, so I'm not sure if it's actually the one where the girl spends the entire time repeating that she IS accompanying the disabled bloke out of pity, and also for media kudos, because she is an attention whore. That's the video that set me ranting, even if it's not this specific one, so I think that my original complaint still holds.

I think there was another video about a girl who's been friends with a Down syndrome person for years and she still doesn't see him as not normal she sees him as normal and there's also some other wholesome videos where this guy takes a girl with cerebral palsy out to prom like how cool is that I think they should make a problem for us disabled people too that would be really nice!!!❤❤❤
Oh yeah and one more thing you're comment does not make any sense whatsoever she's not wanting to get pity from anybody and no she's probably still talking to him you don't even know so I think you're just commenting false information please don't spread misinformation online because it could make you a truly disgusting person you're lucky I even commented on yours but I had to because I just had to say something about what you said wrong because I'm a disabled person too and I have normal friends as well who were in General Ed and they're still my friends today and if one of them wanted to go out to prom with me or something like that I would honestly invite them or they would honestly invite me because they don't see me as not normal they see me as normal think before you assume next time.
