when the SWAT team doesn't have to face off against twenty heavily armed ex-military criminals that one tap at least one officer through a wall, and deal with civilians who only surrender after thirty minutes of yelling and pepper spray. also unauthorized use of force for door banging the guy in the bathroom despite him having a gun.

2:06 It strikes me as a little odd that all of them have their flip up ironsights folded down, like, I know point shooting is a thing that's actually used, but even then people that utilize such tactics still have SOME sort of sighting system on their weapon.

TLDR: Eh, it's weird. But very well possible. Honestly, it depends person to person. If you're part of a team where rooms are small like the ones shown, even folding your irons gives you a huge advantage by giving you a bigger window to see around. You can see the system in video games as well, running a sight or even irons can obscure about 40% of your view.

its plausible, there was a vid on YT about some former US Navy SEALs, they were reacting I think to COD: Modern Warfare(2019) famous night vision heavy maps and they did say, that when its tight CQB, most of the time they don't even aim down their optics, they sometimes rely on their IR lasers or just fire their weapon and adjust via the impacts they see or something.

The SAS had fabricated mounts for their MP5s to put-on full-sized Maglite style flashlights that blocked the sights. These guns were famously seen in the Iranian Embassy Siege. It seems some of the officers in this scene had their flashlights, and we can use the beam to aim.

I like how professional and competent the tactical team was, arresting the guys who had their hands up and not being too rough on the poor dude caught sleeping. But how did he know to light up the bathroom door at 2:09? 2:07 was a good catch, you can barely see the pistol in the bad guy's hand before he gets blasted.

I maybe missing context because I didn't watched the film, but at the first I thought why da fq second operative leaning to the wall and the third one was literally standing his back upfront before breaching instead of controling entring but after they've killed 2 unarmed unresisting suspects (and one ltiteraly for the saces of fun was zeroed through the door), I have humbled myself.

@@ClubPenguinMaster88it’s misleading though. When you think SPEC OPS you imagine Navy SEALs, Green Berets, SAS, the stereotypical military units. You don’t think Police SWAT type units, which is what SRT is. FBI HRTs, GSG-9, UKCTSFO, and GIGN, arguably the most well known police Special Response Units, don’t even call themselves “Special Operations”.

@@DJ-fd4qkNOCS, the Italian State Police tactical unit, is in some ways a special force, it doesn't conduct operations outside of Italy (that are known of) but they in theory can. Also the French GIGN like the Italian GIS, being part of the military, are too special forces as the SAS and Navy SEALs, the main difference is their main field of operations.

@@thecommentaryking GIGN is weird because while they are a component of the French Armed Forces, they fall under the Ministry of the Interior and National Gendarmerie which is Law Enforcement and Domestic Security. They're basically a SWAT team that is under the military but they don't actually go through French Military training but rather their own separate Police pipeline and have a separate command structure. GIGN don't like to call themselves soldiers or "special forces" because that's what the French SAS are. But we keep calling them Special Forces
