I returned from Turkey 3 days ago and felt very guilty because we had somewhere to escape. But those poor people in the mountain villages have lost everything. My heart goes out to them and everyone who is struggling. Please let me know where I can donate.

The difference is your government didn't build horrible concrete apartments in the areas that are burned. This is planned to build hotels and apartments those areas are the most valuable and beautiful parts of 🇹🇷
Omg, these poor Turkish people, iv been there a few times and it's absolutely beautiful there and the people are beautiful and hard working to. I hope this crazy horrible disaster stops soon so they can start rebuilding there life's.god bless all of them ❤️
I doubt very much if they will recover as this is what they will get most summers now due to climate change. Most of southern and central Europe will be turned to desert by 2050 with so many climate refugees heading north, what we are seeing now with climate change refugees coming to Europe from the middle east and Africa will be nothing compared to what is coming out way, from the people in southern Europe heading north in the next few decades. All the rain and flooding we are seeing around the world is also part of the same worrying weather patterns. Exactly the same thing is happening in the USA and asia now, soon people will be unable to live in the areas such as california, Florida, etc., climate refugees will be the news headlines for the immediate future to come. p.s. God doesn't exist, science has just about disproved everything in the bible.
This is awful my ex husband is in Antalya with his family who all are all from Isparta region that I hear has been destroyed .We are not on good terms but my prayers are going out to him and the family and to the rest of all the rest of the Turkish citizens that are going through this awful disaster . .There are 200 fires,no way anyone can fight that..He cant have 1000 planes only for fore.He did invest in roads,in hospital ,army... it's not like they have all the money in the world to have everything... it's happening one time in thousends of years, nobody cab be ready for this ..

I live in Madeira and I almost lost my house twice. I never felt so much fear in my life, since then every summer we clean around the house all the dry plants so it doesnt reach the house (we live in the mountains). Me and my sister also clean all the trash as far as we could.

All of that horror going on in the background, people losing their homes, their lives, firefighters and homeowners fighting fires with their bare hands, and the tourists still sunbathing on the beach, swimming in the sea, and queueing at airports to still get there for their vacations. Unbelievable.
Help came from Europe again, where were the "Muslim brothers" that support Turkey so much? Erdogan having more private jets than firefighting helicopters. Disgraceful!
What help came from Europe ? only a few planes and few choppers and that was after a week later. Russia , Ukrain , Iran, Azerbaycan really helped right away not Europe !

Turkey is a reasonably wealthy country. How can it not have fire and rescue infrastructure in place, equipped to respond to wildfires? Looks horrendous.. the president blaming Kurds.. what a terrible man.. no proof or evidence to back his claims up. Disgraceful.
Of course let bus blame Sky for reporting actual reality. Both showed humanity. In Greece the reality is that they didn't sugar coat the truth when the fires started. While in Turkey they opted to control the narrative from very early saying that everything was under control. They are now fighting the press and not the fire i would be upset also.
When people are busy discussing how to help fight against climate change by lowering the emission of cars, while we see such huge disasters keep happening, who can tell one of such fire (in Canada, US as well...) can cause how many times of emission from a small car?! The united Nations should establish a United Firefighting Army to deal with this situation, because not a single country has all needed resources to effectively put out such a disaster! In stead of letting countries burnt one by one, people should eliminate one disaster before another through cooperation!

We are actually working with Libya, Ukraine, the Caucasus (Azerbaijan), to fight against outside aggression. As for Karma, Greece. A greater proportion of their forested area has been turned to ashes!
We got to build all new homes from stone, brick, mud, metal, clay, cement and other non combustable materials. Mother nature gave these material to use for building. Use them.
The most important part is ignored that over 180 fires started in the same day a week ago which is why Turkish government considered Arson attack possiblity and PKK terrorist organization indeed committed such attacks in the past. But even then it is correct erdogan's party did a massive mistake and thought fire fighting planes were unnecessary rather helicopters were enough, in the past it was correct and Turkey managed to control wildfires quite well actually with only 95,000 ha forest area has been burned since 2009. But with climate change they literally reached another scale of severity and around 35,000 ha forest area got burned in last week!! Even countries with massive fleets are struggling like US where over 900,000 ha forest area has been burned in last 3 months!! It looks like we need radical changes in order to protect our forests anymore...
